The conventional method for starting sheet winding is to glue the leading edge of the sheet to the winding core and then wind it, or to wrap it several times without gluing it (by hand or with a guide belt) to create a frictional force, and then start the main winding. Start collecting.

The majority of methods involve gluing the tip of the sheet to the core and winding it, but if the product to be rolled is recording paper for registers, telex, computer terminals, etc., the end of the rewound sheet can freely separate from the core. Because it is necessary, I cannot use the glued one.

Therefore, as mentioned above, the sheet tip is wound around the core several times without being glued. If the core is thin like the recording paper above, it is often wrapped manually and then placed in the desired position on the winder. I'm putting it in.

Since the leading end of the sheet to be wound up is held down by the rear part of the bonded sheet fragment, there is no need to wrap the entire circumference of the core with a guide belt unlike in the case of the conventional case where the leading end is free.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment in which the present invention is applied to the winding start of a surface-driven winding device. The winding core C fitted on the winding shaft is placed on the receiving rollers / and /α, and the rollers hold down the top of the winding core C. Receiving roller/on the right side.

There is a completed sheet roll R that has rolled out from above /α, and the trailing end of the sheet S is still connected to the feed roller 3 and stopped. Therefore, I ran a running cutter to cross-cut the S, and also ran a glue @S to glue the cut ends. In this case, the cutter is a perforation cutting blade, but if the receiving roller is used as a suction roller and the sheet S is cut in a state where it is in sufficient contact with the receiving roller, complete separation may be performed instead of perforation cutting.

Then, as shown in Fig. 2, the finished sheet roll R is slightly rotated and separated by tearing at the perforation cutting line.-0 This means that the tip of the rear sheet is adhered to the surface of the winding core C.

Next, as shown in FIG. 2, the traveling cutter is run again to cut across the sheet S slightly behind the bonded portion with the winding core 0. As a result, the short sheet fragment SQ comes into a state in which its leading end is adhered to the surface of the winding core C. In addition, before the above-mentioned adhesion, sheet fragments may be made in advance by cutting a little behind the part to be adhered, and then the sheets may be adhered.

A major feature of this invention is that the leading end of the rear sheet S to be wound is inserted between the sheet fragment sO whose leading end is adhered to the surface of the winding core C as described above and the surface of the winding core C. As shown by the chain line in Fig. 2 and the solid line in Fig. 3, when the guide plate t between the feed roller 3 and the receiving roller is slightly raised and the feed roller 3 is driven a little, the second cutter is generated. The cut end of the rear sheet cut out overlaps the rear part of the sheet fragment s (1).As shown by the chain line in FIG.
The guide plate may be moved so as to insert the leading end of the upper rear sheet S between the target sheet fragment SQ and the winding core O.

The longer the insertion length of the rear sheet S, that is, the overlap length with the sheet fragment So, the better, and it should be at least larger than the contact spacing of the rollers /, /α, and co surrounding the winding core C. If this does not happen, suppress the top of the sheet fragment SQ with an air stream or other means so that the tip of the rear sheet SQ does not move away from the winding core O.

As shown in an enlarged view in Fig. 4, the winding core C is supported by the receiving rollers /, /α and the holding roller at the pressure contact point "ry+2.The overlapping length of the sheet fragment SQ and the rear sheet S is the contact point. If it is shorter than the interval, for example, between the contact points y and z, the rear end of the sheet fragment SQ and the tip of the rear sheet S) will be simultaneously removed from their supporting force, and if there is no electrostatic attraction, the tip of the rear sheet S) will be removed immediately. will fall away from the winding core 0.On the other hand, if the overlapping length of both sheets is longer than the contact spacing,
Is it the tail of the seat fragment So or the tip of the rear seat S? Since the sheet fragment So is always pressed against the winding core surface by the roller, even if the trailing end of the sheet fragment So is temporarily released, there is no problem in winding.

However, since the position where there is a risk of the tip of the rear sheet S separating from the winding core C due to insufficient overlap length is known in advance,
Rear sea) S through the upper sheet fragment SQ in its position
There is no problem if you install airflow or small rollers to suppress the flow. In this case, it is easy because the rear seat S is held down via the overlying seat fragment So, otherwise the conventional guide belt system would still be ephemeral.

From the state shown in Figure 6.4, feed roller 3, receiving roller /, /α
There is no need to explain that by driving the rear sheet S, the sheet fragments S, ) are wound onto the winding core C.

The above embodiment is an example in which the tip of the rear sheet S can be inserted between the winding core 0 and the sheet segment sO relatively easily. This is because the gap between the winding core C and the sheet fragment SO opens upward. Conversely, if you open your mouth downward, the rear sea)
Inserting the tip becomes more troublesome. Although it is possible to operate the sheet edge using aseptic suction means, the embodiments shown in FIGS. 5 to 8 are examples in which suction was not used.

In Fig. 5, / and /α are receiving rollers similar to Fig. 1,
The winding core 0 is placed on the lower side of the winding core 0 and pressed down with a roller roller α. The completed seal R is transferred to the right side, and the rear of the sheet is cut along perforations and glued. In FIG. 6, the gluing portion A has advanced to the point where it comes into contact with the receiving roller /α, and the trailing end of the sheet roll is torn off at the perforated cutting portion. The running Cara Turf is about to cut the sea) S again, and next to it, the guide plate Otsu α is raised from the lower standby position to receive the rear cut end. Also, in order to ink the front cut end, the temporary receiving roller 7 is raised from below.

Then, when the rear sheath (S) is advanced a little, its tip enters the opening 7α of the temporary receiving roller 7, as shown in FIG. Then, when the temporary receiving roller 7 is slightly rotated as shown in FIG. 8, the leading end of the rear sheet S, which had entered the opening 7α, comes out and moves toward the winding core C.

When /α is turned, the tip of the sheet s that has hit the winding core C advances to the gap between the sheet fragment S, ) and the winding core C as the winding core C rotates, and is rolled up so that they overlap. After the temporary receiving roller 7 rotates synchronously at that position until the rear sheet S is appropriately wound around the core C,

After completing the winding preparation in this way, remove the winding core. In addition to the embodiment shown in the figure in which the core 0 is taken up and rotated in a regular manner at that position, as in the method recently developed by the present inventor, the winding core 0 is moved to the upper side of the receiving roller /, /α and the regular winding is started. It's okay.

Although the above-described embodiments are all related to a surface-driven winder, the present invention can also be applied to the start of winding on a shaft-driven winder. That is, if, in addition to the touch roller in contact with the winding core a, two temporary rollers are brought close to and surrounded by the winding core 0, the same conditions as in the above two embodiments will be achieved, and preparations for the start of winding can be made through the same steps.

Although a small number of embodiments have been described above, this invention mainly involves gluing the leading edge of the sheet fragment to the winding core, inserting the leading edge of the sheet to be wound between the rear part of the sheet fragment and the winding core, and winding the sheet in layers. The adhesive method described above can be either gluing or adhesive tape, and the method of inserting the sheet tip can be the above-mentioned suction operation or mechanical clamping. It can be widely varied and applied using the well-known techniques of mechanical engineers, such as placing it in a desired position.

This invention involves rolling up the sheet by sandwiching it under the sheet fragment to which the leading edge has been glued, as a means of generating frictional force that allows the sheet to be wound without bonding the leading edge of the sheet to the winding core. Introduced a new method. No matter where you press the sheet fragment that overlaps the sheet tip, it will have the effect of holding the sheet tip from separating from the core. This made it possible to wrap the tip of the sheet around the core.
