Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction and make easy and simple to handle by making a main battery and electric load ON/OFF by reciprocating operation of a knob and moreover by operating the knob in a direction which crosses to usual ON/OFF direction. CONSTITUTION:A switch knob 8 is movable in upper, lower, right, and left direction in a limited range in an L-shaped guide groove 11 formed in the front of a main case 1. A foot 8a projected from the inner side of the knob 8 is inserted into a through hole 12 of the case and a plate 13 is fixed to the tip of the foot 8a. A pin 26 is installed in the inner side of the plate 13. A fork-shaped elastic lock piece 27 which contacts the pin 26 and generates elastic retreation displacement, when the pin moves in a right direction, is installed in a base 17. Accidental move of the knob 8 to right direction is prevented by elastic contact of the pin 26 and lock piece 27.

Conventionally, an electric shaver, which is an example of a small electrical device with such a function (1), uses a rechargeable battery as the main battery and a dry battery as a spare battery.
As shown in Fig. 8, under normal conditions, the sliding switch knob 8 provided on the front of the main body case 1 is reciprocated up and down to connect and disconnect the inner blade drive motor, which is an electrical load, and the main battery, so that the main battery outputs output. In case of emergency use when the battery runs out and there is no time to wait for the battery to be charged, there is a well-known battery that can be connected to the motor by sliding the switch knob 8 further downward from the off position.

However, with this switching means using the sliding switch knob 8, even during normal use when the main battery has sufficient output, there is no possibility that the switch knob 8 may be turned off with too much force and turned to the on position of the spare battery. Yes, repeating this over and over again wastes the power of the spare battery, and in case of emergency use when there is no time to wait for the main battery to charge, the output of the spare battery will decrease, which is useless. There was this inconvenience.

In addition, to solve this problem, there is a device that incorporates a locking means that prevents the switch knob (2) from being operated when the spare battery is in the on position during normal operation (for example,

However, with this, the structure becomes complicated due to the addition of a new locking means, and when using a spare battery, it is necessary to separately operate a lock release tool before operating the switch knob, which tends to make handling cumbersome.
