Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

The glass tube is provided with an enclosure formed by airtightly fitting and welding a dish-shaped metal cap having a peripheral wall to an end of the glass tube, and an electrode protruding from the inner surface of the metal cap into the enclosure. A special feature of this flash discharge lamp is that the edge of the peripheral wall of the cap is made thinner by dropping the outer part thereof.
