Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively transfer smooth face by a film by bonding a film with smooth face to the surface of an extruded synthetic resin molding under a pressed conditin. CONSTITUTION:A strip material 1 is formed by bending by means of a cold roll former 3 and introduced into an extrusion mold 4 where the outside of a portion corresponding to drip channel F is integrally covered with a synthetic resin H and a lip portion L is formed. During the extrusion molding period, a polyester resin tape T with smooth surface is supplied to the extrusion mold 4 undet the condition that a pressure is applied in the extrusion mold 4 where the tape T is bonded to the surface of the resin in a peelable manner. The molding body bonded with the tape T is cooled in a cooling tank 5, taken over by a belt type taker 6, and then cut into a given length.

Conventionally, the method for manufacturing this type of automotive molding is to completely cover the surface of the molding body immediately after extrusion molding with openings corresponding to the areas where the glossy parts are to be formed, and infrared rays are transmitted through the openings. is irradiated to heat and melt a part of the surface of the molding body, thereby increasing the density and obtaining a glossy part. However, after the glossy part obtained by this method, scratches may occur due to slight scratches from the outside during processing such as bending or cutting, and small scratches are easily noticeable, so the glossy part may be removed after extrusion molding. Adhesive tape was attached to the surface as a protection, and the adhesive tape was peeled off and removed just before the molding was completed and attached to the car body, or after the molding was installed. However, this method suffers from leakage of infrared rays from the opening of the mask, makes it impossible to clearly distinguish between glossy and non-glossy areas, and makes it impossible to accurately control the irradiation time of infrared rays. However, there were problems in terms of quality and cost, such as changes in the physical properties of the molding, impairing weather resistance, and requiring a separate step of attaching a protective tape after obtaining the glossy part.

The purpose of the present invention is to attach a film having a smooth surface under pressure to the surface of the extruded synthetic resin when the resin is in a high temperature softened state during or immediately after extrusion molding, and to transfer the smooth surface with the film. This embodiment will be explained in detail below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4.

Note that the lip portion provided from the top of the drip channel portion F toward the bottom inside the channel is intended to prevent or reduce the occurrence of wind noise while the vehicle is running. A manufacturing method shown in FIG. 2 is used to manufacture a molding having such a configuration. In the figure, reference numeral 1 indicates a light beam 1 (corresponding to the above-mentioned strip material P of stainless steel plate, which is rolled out by a continuous coiler 2. The rolled-out strip material 1 is passed through a cold roll forming machine 3 to a It is bent into a cross-sectional shape as shown in the figure, then introduced into an extrusion mold 4, and drip channel part F.
The outside of the portion corresponding to A tape T with a smooth surface of a polyester resin film made of a resin mainly composed of polyethylene terephthalate is supplied to an extrusion mold 4 under pressure, and the surface of the resin is The width of the tape T should match the width W for which the glossy part K is to be obtained. Also,
Since the polyester film as the tape T and the soft polyvinyl chloride resin or resin as the synthetic resin H have different SP values, they will not weld to each other. When the synthetic resin H immediately after being extruded by the tape T extrusion mold 4 is in a softened state at a high temperature, it may be continuously pressed onto the surface of the resin H with a roller or the like to adhere it.

As explained above, according to the present invention, the smooth surface tape Tie is integrated with the extruded synthetic resin when it is in a softened state in areas where gloss is required, so that the smooth surface of the tape T is transferred. After this tape T is peeled off, there is no slight roughness or unevenness at the peeled part of the tape T, and the surface is leveled and glossy, and the boundary between the glossy part and the non-glossy part can be clearly formed. So-called blur can be eliminated. Further, when a polyester resin film is used for the tape T, it can be molded to fit well on a curved surface, so it can be applied even when the glossy portion K is a curved surface. In addition, since there is no need to control the infrared irradiation time, manufacturing is easy. The tape T is provided to form a glossy part K, which is useful for protection, and conventional protective tapes cannot be used. It becomes unnecessary. Further, when the tape T is made of a polyester resin film and the molding body is made of a soft polyvinyl chloride resin, there is an advantage that the tape T can be easily peeled off since they do not weld to each other.
