Abstract

PURPOSE:To print automatically program specification in document format by utilizing the similarity of the processing summary of a fixed-form program as the original pattern of the program specification, and generating a program. CONSTITUTION:Parts given a symbol ? in the original pattern 1 of program specification, e.g. ?A1, ?B1, etc., are different depending upon documents. A user regards the different parts as data and generates a program while specifying file names and the kinds of processing. Then, an automatic program specification generating fucntion is utilized to read characters successively by setting the 1st character of the original pattern 1. While the symbol ? does not appear, characters of the original pattern 1 are written in the program specification. When the symbol ? appears, two characters following the symbol ? are read and the contents in a previously generated program specified by the two characters are written in the specification. This operation is repeated to perform fill-in and editing of the specification, thus obtaining a document through a document printing function.

(2) Background of the technology Traditionally, program specifications must be written by people involved in program creation, but sometimes the program creator and the program specification creator are different, or the program creator and the program specification creator write the program specifications. Even if the person is the same person, the program and program specifications are not managed in an integrated manner, which is a disadvantage because errors or omissions may occur over time, and program modifications may not be reflected in the program specifications.

(4) Structure of the Invention According to the present invention, in a system for interactively creating a program for managing all files, the similarity of processing outlines of standard programs can be used as a prototype of a program specification. Create a program while specifying the different parts as data, read all the specified data from the program, and embed it in a predetermined position in the original program specification document. ? A program specification a! that is characterized by being able to be edited and printed as a document format program specification. Homare continues to be recognized by providing automatic printing methods.

In FIG. 1, 1 shows the internal format of the program specification prototype, and 2 shows the program specification prototype 1 expressed in a document format. Among the contents shown in document format 2, 〒A1~〒A4゜〒B1~〒By, 〒01~〒
Cb, 〒1〕1~〒D9゜〒E1~〒Es,〒F2 are parts that differ depending on the document. Therefore, the user creates a program while specifying all file names and processing types using such differences as data. This entire program is indicated by 3 in FIG.

embedding in a predetermined position and performing m collection. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 4 denotes a function block for automatically creating program specifications, and as an output of this block 4, an internal format of the program specifications as shown in 5 is obtained, and this is printed as a document via the document printing function 6. If expressed in the form, we get a program specification like 7.

(6) Effects of the Invention As explained in detail above, according to the present invention, it is not necessary for the user to write the program specifications when creating a fixed program, and the program specifications can be created at the same time as the program is created. This has the effect of saving labor and time, and also makes the program easier to understand for people other than the person writing the program.
