Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a connection not requiring further tightening for a long time thereby decreasing occurrence of troubles at the connection, by pressing the terminal and a connecting plate into an integral body by the use of a die and a terminal protecting metal frame. CONSTITUTION:A connecting plate 2 made of copper is held to abut on one surface of the terminal 1 made of lead and a washer 3 is held to abut on the other side of the same, a die 6 is held so that a ring-shaped protrusion on the same abuts on the connecting plate 2, a terminal protecting frame 9 is put on the above mentioned members, and a bolt 4 and a nut 5 are tightened with each other with a torque wrench so that the terminal 1 and the connecting plate 2 are pressed together and becomes an integral body, and thereafter the terminal protecting plate 9 is removed and the connection is thereby completed. By making the connection in the above described way, the plastic deformation sideways of the terminal 1 during the application of the pressure for the connection is blocked by the terminal protecting metal frame 9, that is, the compressive stress does not escape to anywhere, and therefore, an easy and complete connection by pressure between the terminal 1 and the connecting plate 2 can thus be provided.

Conventionally, as a connection method for connection plates such as storage battery terminals (hereinafter simply referred to as terminals), the connections shown in Fig. 4 are as follows:
Tightening with nuts (rl method is used. In this method, a connecting plate 2 is applied to a terminal 1, and a torque wrench is used to connect the terminal 1 and the connecting plate 2 through a washer 3 with a bolt 4 and a nut 5. There is a method called ``J l''. This method has good workability and is used for the connections of many stationary batteries. However, with this method, there is no contact in the initial stage. There is no problem as it is well maintained, but
When used for a long period of time, the contact portion deteriorates and the contact resistance increases, which inevitably requires periodic cleaning.

The present invention provides a method of connecting a terminal and a connecting plate which can eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, and in which a die having six parts on the surface is placed on one side of the connecting plate, and the other side of the connecting plate is used as a terminal. Place the reinforcing metal frame on the terminal once, then pass the bolt/nut between the die, connecting plate, and terminal, tighten the die, connecting plate, and terminal with the bolt/nut, and connect the terminal and connecting plate. By integrally press-welding the wires, a structure that does not require a ground wire for a long period of time can be created.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, the connection 7'J 71 of the present invention
In <, the connection plate 2 is applied to one side of the terminal 1, the washer 3 is applied to the other side, and the annular convex portion 7h to the connection plate 2 is applied to one side of the connection plate 2.
Place the die 6 so that it is on the side, fit the terminal reinforcing metal frame 9 into the terminal 1, pass the die 4 through the pole 1 between them, and attach the lead 11-55 to the pole 1-4. IYi (>1 digit, press the terminal 1 to the connecting plate 2, and connect the terminal T-1 and the connecting plate 2 with a
There is a method called "integrating" and 3. After pressure welding, gradually loosen the torque wrench, 11; Check whether the contact is sufficient. If the contact is sufficient, press again. If it is sufficient, tighten the poles 1 to 4 and reeler h5 and remove the terminal reinforcing metal frame to complete the connection.

As described above, in the connection method of the present invention, the lead terminal 1 and the copper connection plate 2 are pressure-welded. d5, the merits (residual thickness ratio) of lead and copper are 16 and 14, respectively, and somewhat
Although the value is small, since copper is a material that is relatively easily pressure-welded, even lead and copper can be sufficiently pressure-welded.

Further, the pressure welding method used in the connection method of the present invention is based on overlapping pressure welding, which does not require a very large pressure value compared to butt pressure welding, and is therefore a suitable lζ method.

Furthermore, as described above, since the connection method of the present invention uses the die 6 and the terminal reinforcing metal frame 9, it is possible to sufficiently apply the pressure stress to the pressure contact surface using J5 for pressure contact.
The terminals 1 and the connecting plate 2 can be easily and completely pressed together. That is, since the annular convex portion 7 of the die 6 can intensively apply pressure contact stress to the pressure contact portion of the terminal 1 and the connecting plate 2, the terminal reinforcing metal frame 9 can apply stress to the pressure contact portion of the terminal 1 during pressure contact.
Since the lateral plastic deformation of the terminal 1 and the connecting plate 2 are blocked and the pressure contact stress does not escape, it is possible to easily and completely contact the terminal 1 and the connecting plate 2 by pressure.

The shape of the die 6 used in the connection method of the present invention is designed to have an annular convex portion 7 as shown in FIG. Although it is preferable that the terminal 1 has a shape with a partial convex portion A1-, the shape of the terminal reinforcing metal frame 9 may be such that the terminal 1 is bent sideways during pressure welding. In order to prevent this, it is desirable to have an H shape as shown in Figure 3.

In addition, when carrying out the connection method of the present invention, in order to increase the effect of TI contact, it is desirable to apply a surface treatment to the contact surface to remove the oxidized film of oils and fats on the pressure contact surface.

In addition, the surface treatment of the pressure contact surface is brush straight i ¥150mm.
The brushing was carried out using a rotary brushing machine with a wire diameter of 0 and 2 mm at a rotational speed of 300 Or pm, and the brush was degreased before use in order to remove the adhesion of oils and fats. In addition, for the total pressing force, calculate the area to be pressed from the shape of the die punch, and add the pressing pressure to that value 11) (
