Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable only proper parts and proper containers to be used, by disenabling a microprocessor to operate when a similar article not provided with a predetermined mark of an electrode or the like is used, in a copying machine or the like. CONSTITUTION:For example, a toner bottle 1 is provided with a mark 5 such as arbitrary characters, figure or the like on the outside wall 3 thereof, which mark 5 is provided with an electrode 6 on the entire surface or a part thereof by plating or the like. On the other hand, on the side of a main body of the machine, an electrode 7 constituting a closed circuit with the electtrode when the toner bottle 1 is set in position by insertion is provided at a part corresponding to the mark 5, and is connected to the microprocessor 8 through lead wires (a)-(d). Therefore, the main body is operated only when a predetermined electric signal is inputted. Accordingly, when a similar article not provided with the predetermined mark such as the electrode is used, the main body of the machine is disenabled to operate, so that the useful life of the main body is prolonged, and it can be used stably.

As is clear from the above-mentioned embodiments, the present invention provides a method for printing characters on the outer wall of parts that need to be replenished or replaced, or on the outer wall of a cartridge-type container containing toner, ink, photoreceptor, etc.
Magnetic or optical processing is applied to the mark portion consisting of a figure, a character, or a combination thereof, which is converted into an electrical signal by an electrode or sensor, and the signal is converted by an electrode or sensor on the machine body side in accordance with the brightness of the mark portion. A member is provided for detecting the electric signal by the microprocessor of the machine body, and these replenishment and replacement parts and the machine body side member into which they are inserted and set are integrated, and the predetermined parts, containers, etc. The microprocessor is designed to operate the machine body only when it is inserted. Therefore, the present invention has a microprocessor built into the main body of the machine and can be applied as is to a wide range of office equipment that requires supplementary and replacement parts.

Effects According to the present invention as described above, when inserting and setting parts or members in office equipment that require supplementary replacement into the main body of the machine, similar products that are not marked with predetermined electrodes or the like are used for these parts. In this case, the microprocessor in the machine body does not detect the specified electrical signal, so the microprocessor does not turn on, and therefore the machine body does not operate. The use of similar products is excluded, and only genuine parts and containers are used. By allowing the use of these office machines, it is possible to stabilize and improve the quality of products such as copies produced by these office machines, and the machine body can be used stably and efficiently over a long period of time.
