This drinking water storage tank is installed in the middle of the water pipe, and normally the water is passed through the tank and supplied from the water tap to prevent the water in the tank from spoiling. If a tank is simply installed in the middle of a pipe, a problem arises in that when negative pressure is generated in the water pipe during a water outage, water stored in the tank flows back into the water pipe.

This proposal solves the above problems by connecting a tank through a pipe joint in the middle of the water pipe, dividing the inside of the pipe joint, and creating a water supply channel and water faucet that communicates the water source side pipe with the inside of the tank. A water supply channel is provided to connect the side piping and the inside of the tank.
In addition, a hole is opened in a part of the wall that separates the water supply channel from the water supply channel to prevent water stored in the tank from flowing back into the water pipe even if negative pressure occurs in the water pipe during a water outage. .

A tank 3 of a fixed capacity made of stainless steel or the like is connected to the middle of the water main pipe 1 via a pipe joint 2, and the pipe joint 2 has arms a1, . It has a T-shape with a2° and a3, and has an opening 2 at each arm end that connects to the pipe 1A on the water supply source (path shown) side of the water main 1.
A, an opening 2B that connects to the piping 1B on the hydrant 4 side,
It has three openings, including an opening 2C that connects to the tank 3, and is hollow inside with a partition wall 5 that connects a water supply channel 6 from the pipe 1A to the tank 3, and a water supply channel 6 from the tank 3 to the pipe 1B. It is divided into a water channel 7 and is integrally molded from corrosion-resistant metal.

A through hole 8 serving as an air intake to the water supply channel 6 side is opened in a part of the partition wall 5 at a position on a line connecting both openings 2A and 2B, so that the water supply channel 6 and the water supply channel 7 are communicated with each other. let

The openings 2A and 2B in this pipe joint 2 are threadedly connected to the pipes IA and IB of the water main 1 by unions 9 and 10, respectively, as shown in FIG. It is removably connected to the tank 3 via the thread.

Further, a water supply pipe 12 such as a stainless steel or synthetic resin pipe is connected to the end of the pipe 5A, and the lower end of the iron pipe 12 is brought to the vicinity of the bottom of the tank 3.

なおタンク3の底部には開閉弁13が設けられている。Note that an on-off valve 13 is provided at the bottom of the tank 3.

In the embodiment, when the water tap 4 is opened, water from the water supply source flows into the tank 3 from the water supply pipe 12 via the water supply channel 6 of the pipe joint 2 from within the pipe 1A.

When the water supply continues, the tank 3 becomes full, and the overflowing water flows into the pipe 1B through the water supply channel 7 of the pipe joint 2, and is discharged from the water tap 4 to the outside.

Therefore, water from the water supply source bypasses the inside of the tank 3 and is sent from the hydrant 4, and the water stored in the tank 3 is replaced every time water is released, so that it is always kept fresh.

Now, when water supply from the water main 1 is stopped due to an earthquake or other cause, the on-off valve 13 at the bottom of the tank 3 is opened and the water stored in the tank 3 is discharged to the outside for use. However, during a water outage, when negative pressure occurs in the water main pipe 1, the water in the tank 3 tries to be sucked into the pipe 1A side, but when the water tap 4 is closed, this negative pressure flows through the pipe joint 2. The side water channels 6 and 7 have the same pressure, and the water in the tank 3 is not sucked into the pipe IA. ,
When the water tap 4 is open, the vacuum is broken through the hole 8 and no water in the tank 3 is absorbed.

Therefore, irrespective of pressure fluctuations in the water main 1, the tank 3 can be kept full of water at all times.

In this case, the long and thin tank can be installed vertically as shown in Figure 3A, or it can be installed horizontally as shown in Figure 3, and the shape of the tank is different from the example. Not limited to the elongated shape shown, round, cubic, and other arbitrary shapes can be used freely depending on the installation conditions.
