Abstract

PURPOSE:To economize a storage battery and a charging device by cutting off the power supply from the storage battery when no call is detected on all connected key telephone sets in service while a commercial power source is turned off. CONSTITUTION:When the commerical power source is connected to a commercial power source input terminal 1, a constant-voltage power source circuit 3 supplies stabilized DC power through a main device power source terminal 8. When the commercial power source is disconnected, a commercial power source detecting circuit 7 sends out this information to a main control circuit 9 which performs stored program control. The circuit 9 on receiving this information retrieves whether there is a call in service with regard to all connected key telephone sets or not before the voltage at the terminal 8 drops. When there is no call, the circuit 9 sends out a signal to a storage battery control circuit 4 and controls a DC power source switch 5 to disconnect the storage battery 6. When there is a call, the storage battery 6 is disconnected after the main device is supplied with DC electric power and the call is completed.
