Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a battery by presetting a telephone set whose speech function is to be kept even at a power failure and interrupting power supply to other telephone sets. CONSTITUTION:When a commercial power supply is interrupted, a power failure detection circuit 117 detects power failure and a detection output is given to a control circuit 112, which retrieves a memory 116. As to a telephone set whose talking is made available even at the power failure, 'need' is set, and as to other telephone sets, 'no need' is set and the result is stored in advance in the memory 116 for each telephone set, then the control circuit 112 turns off a switch circuit (e.g. a switch circuit 114) corresponding to a telephone set number not requiring power supply at power failure. Thus, the power feeding to the telephone set is interrupted and then the power consumption at power failure is reduced.

"Problems to be Solved by the Invention" The present invention solves the problem that, in a button telephone device installed in a hospital, for example, there are extremely important calls even during a power outage.
Considering that the telephones that require such calls can be determined in advance, in the event of a power outage, the power supply to telephones other than such telephones will be cut off.
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a button telephone device that reduces power consumption during power outages and can withstand long power outages even with a small capacity battery.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides power supply from the main unit to each telephone using commercial power at all times, and during a power outage, power is supplied from the main unit to each telephone using a battery. In a button telephone device that is configured to supply power, the main device includes a power outage detection means for detecting a power outage, a switching means for controlling power supply to each telephone, and a function for determining whether or not to stop power supply in the event of a power outage for each telephone. The apparatus is configured to include a storage means that can be set in advance, and a control means that controls the switching means according to the setting result in the storage means, and the control means is activated by the detection output of the power failure detection means. It is.

Now, when a power outage occurs in the commercial power supply, the power outage is detected in the power outage detection circuit 117 and a detection output is given to the ili control circuit 112. (Step 1) As a result, the control circuit 112 searches the memory 116. (Step 2) Through the above search, it is determined whether power supply to the first telephone number (N number) is necessary or not. (Step 3) In other words, as mentioned above, for phones that you want to be able to make calls even during a power outage, set it as ``Required'', and for other phones as ``Not required'', store in memory in advance whether it is necessary or not for each phone. Therefore, in the case of "no", the control circuit 112 operates the switch circuit (for example, switch circuit #1114) corresponding to the corresponding telephone number and turns it off, thereby cutting off the power supply corresponding to the telephone 102 in question.

(Step 4) If "required", the switch circuit is not operated and the next telephone number is stepped up. (Swip 5) Then, it is determined whether the search has been performed for all telephone numbers (Step 6), and Steps 2 to 6 are repeated until all telephone numbers are searched. Then, for all the telephones for which "No" has been stored, Since the power supply is cut off, the power consumption of the entire device is reduced accordingly.

``Effects of the Inventionj'' As explained above, according to the present invention, a telephone set that must maintain the calling function even during a power outage can be set in advance,
