    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 排気マニホールドと排気管との間に介装されるマニホー
    ルドタイプ触媒コンバータであって、容器の長手方向の
    軸芯が排気流と直交する方向に延びる容器を有し、該容
    器内に、モノリス触媒の長手方向の軸芯が容器の長手方
    向軸芯と同方向に延びかつ該軸芯と直交する方向に延び
    る多数のセルを有するモノリス触媒を装着したことを特
    徴とするマニホールドタイプ触媒コンバータ。
