Abstract

PURPOSE:To recover a solvent with high thermal efficiency and to make the disposal of contaminant easy by distilling a contaminated solvent brought into an internal vessel consisting of a folding material under heating with the heat radiated from outside in a distillation vessel made of a transparent material. CONSTITUTION:An internal vessel 100 consisting of a foldable and transparent or a black opaque material such as plastics is placed in a distillation vessel 10, wherein at least the upper half of the vessel is made of a transparent material such as glass and the vessel can be opened and shut widely by means of a lid part 11 and a vessel part 12 constituted therein. An easily evaporative contaminated solvent is charged into the internal vessel 100 supported by a combination of the lid 11 and hanging means 13 and 14 on the internal vessel 100 side. Then the solvent is evaporated by the heat from the outside of the distillation vessel 10 radiated from a radiation heat source such as an infrared lamp. The solvent is recovered in a condensate tank 20 through a piping 30 and a cooling apparatus 40. After distillation, the internal vessel 100 is folded and disposed together with the residual contaminant therein.

In addition, heating during distillation has been either external heating or internal heating, but external heating has a large heat loss, and internal heating has problems such as the dissolved solute sticking to the heating element.
The present inventor attempted to utilize radiant heat and succeeded.

According to the present invention, an inner container made of a collapsible material is placed in a distillation container that can be opened and closed in a wide manner and is made of a transparent material at least in its upper half, and a contaminated solvent is placed inside the distillation container. A method for recovering a solvent is provided in which the solvent is distilled and recovered by applying more radiant heat, and the inner container is then removed and disposed of along with any remaining contaminants.
