Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a web from winding up around a chilled roll, by providing an unrotatable inner cylinder in a rotatable outer cylinder and supplying compressed air through the inner cylinder to eject the air from the holes of the outer cylinder to blow the web down. CONSTITUTION:The body 2 of an outer cylinder 1 is provided with a perforated peripheral part W which has numerous small holes 5 at regular intervals and extends with a prescribed width along the total circumference. Bearings 6 are fitted on the shafts 3 of the outer cylinder 1 to support it rotatably. The outer cylinder is driven by a sprocket 7 fitted at one end of the cylinder. An inner cylinder 12, which has an air intake duct 8 and an air pressure reservoir 9 inside and is provided with numerous air outlet holes 11 in the peripheral part 10, is installed in the outer cylinder 1 and secured at one end on a bearing housing 15 by a stopper 14 so that the inner cylinder is unrotatable. A chilled roll is thus constructed. The roll is fitted on a web layer and compressed air is supplied through the duct 8 and ejected from the perforated part W to attain the purpose.

してチンロールの材質1表面状態、外径寸法等の改良を
実施することにより前記トラブルを解決することが試み
られたが根本的な解決手段が見られないのが現状である

ールに巻き付かんとするウエプを吹き落し、巻き上がり
を防止するように構成したチンロールを提供するもので
ある。
