DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an improvement in a gas torch, which is a device for introducing heating gas for welding or cutting into a torch.

Regarding gas welding, it is widely used to utilize the heat of reaction between combustion gas such as acetylene gas or propane gas and oxygen or air because it is possible to obtain a relatively high temperature.

Conventionally known structures are shown in Figs. 1 and 2. The structure shown in Fig. 1 is used for welding or thermal cutting, and the structure shown in Fig. 2 is mainly used for heating. In any of the above cases, the operation sequence is to first open the acetylene valve 1, blow out acetylene gas from the crater 3, and then ignite it with an ignition device 6 using a piezoelectric element. Afterwards, it is customary to open the oxygen valve 2 by an appropriate amount to adjust the amount of gas ejected.

However, in these cases, it is necessary to bring your hand close to the crater when igniting, so the door is always dangerous.
It requires skill to position the ignition device within the gas ejection range, and there is no certainty of ignition; the ignition device easily loses its powder at the work site; and the distance between the grip tube 7 and the crater 3 is long. It is difficult to ignite a torch, and especially large ones, which currently require two people to ignite and extinguish, which is extremely inconvenient and inefficient if you have to frequently turn on and off the fire during the work. .

The present invention aims to eliminate such drawbacks of the conventional gas torch.Specifically, in a gas torch equipped with a head at the tip via a grip tube and a body, the tip is always attached to the body. The arm is equipped with a rotatable arm that is loaded with spring force so as to be aligned in the direction closer to the grip tube, and has an ignition terminal at the tip of the arm, and an operation provided at the other end and closer to the grip tube. When the operating section is operated, the tip of the arm approaches the mouthpiece of the head and can be ignited, and when the operating section is released, the arm returns to a position due to spring force. The device is characterized by being equipped with an ignition terminal cleaning device that comes into sliding contact and wipes the surface of the ignition part when returning.

The sliding rod 41 is fitted into the long hole 38 of the main body 36 so as to be freely movable in the longitudinal direction, and its rear portion is obliquely cut to form a tapered portion 42.
Further, between the tapered portion 42 and the rear wall 39, a spring 43 is used to constantly urge the sliding rod 41 to protrude toward the front side of the main body 36.

However, when the ignition element 16 portion at the tip of the arm 15 returns, the sliding rod 41 is pressed in the direction of the notch 37, and at the same time, its rear tapered portion 42 pushes the cleaning rod 3
1 is pushed up, the cleaning rod 31 rotates about the shaft 35 in proportion to this, and the hanging part 33 on the opposite side, that is, the front side, descends and ignites as shown in FIG. It comes into sliding contact with the firing part of the element 16.

Since the present invention has such a configuration, it is easier to ignite the ignition simply by operating the operating unit at hand, compared to the conventional ignition that requires a separate ignition device or sometimes requires two people to ignite. Not only is the effect safe and reliable, there is no need to use a separate ignition device each time the torch is used, so there is no risk of losing the ignition device. It can be easily attached to an existing torch by simply attaching the arm, support box, operating section, etc., and above all, it is possible to brush off soot, etc. attached to the ignition part each time the automatic ignition device is used. Therefore, it is possible to achieve a number of beneficial effects such as not causing any hindrance to continuous use.

It goes without saying that it is more preferable that the portion that slides on the ignition portion be treated with a material having a high frictional resistance, such as a file-like finish.

[Scope of Claims] 1. In a gas torch equipped with a head at the tip via a gripping tube and a body, a force is stored in the body by a spring so that the tip always follows the direction of the body toward the gripping tube. A rotatable arm is provided, and the tip of the arm has an ignition terminal, and the other end is connected by a wire to an operating section provided near the grip tube, and when the operating section is operated. , an ignition terminal that allows the tip of the arm to approach the mouthpiece of the head to ignite, and that slides into contact with and wipes the surface of the ignition part at a position where the arm returns due to spring force when the operating section is released; A gas torch characterized by being equipped with a cleaning device. 2. In the ignition terminal cleaning device according to claim 1, the ignition terminal cleaning device includes a sliding rod that is movable back and forth in the return direction of the arm and has a tapered portion at the rear, and the sliding rod. means for always urging the arm to protrude in the return direction; and a cleaning rod rotatably held parallel to the sliding rod and substantially in the center of its movement range. In addition, the front and rear ends of the cleaning rod are bent to correspond to the front and rear ends of the sliding rod, respectively, and the rear end of the cleaning rod is always urged to approach a portion of the rear taper of the sliding rod. When it returns, it presses the front end of the sliding rod, and when the sliding rod retreats, a part of its rear taper pushes up the rear end of the cleaning rod, thereby igniting the arm that restored the front end of the cleaning rod. A gas torch that comes into sliding contact with the element part to clean the part.
