Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a corrosion preventive layer having an excellent mechanical characteristic, surface hardenability, etc. with ease and to prevent the corrosion of a piping, etc. by adding an adequate amt. of acrylic oligomer to petrolatum or petrolatum corrosion preventive material. CONSTITUTION:A corrosion preventive layer 2 of petrolatum or consisting essentially of petrolatum is formed on a piping 1, and 0.1-10wt% acrylic oligomer is added in the layer 2 to perform corrosion prevention. The oligomer in the layer 2 causes gradually bleeding to form a thin layer on the surface of the corrosion preventive layer thereby preventing oxidation of the layer 2; at the same time, it reacts with UV light by the effect of sunlight, etc. and forms a hardened layer, thereby protecting the surface. The acrylic oligomer does not form the surface hardened layer at <=0.1% and if it is at >=10%, the hardened layer is thickly formed and induces a surface crack and threfore, the amt. of the acrylic oligomer to be added is limited as mentioned above.

Conventionally, one of the methods for preventing corrosion of piping, metal structures, etc. is to impregnate fibers with petrolatum or a petrolatum yarn anticorrosion mixture, or to use anticorrosive materials laminated on tapes or sheets.

However, since the anti-corrosion layer of the above-mentioned anti-corrosion material has poor impact resistance and is sticky, dust and the like may adhere thereto, causing problems in terms of appearance, and problems in terms of anti-corrosion performance due to oxidative deterioration. In order to compensate for these defects, methods such as applying a protective paint or reinforcing with fiber reinforced plastic (hereinafter referred to as FRP) are used.

However, these methods may not be able to provide a sufficient leveling effect, and have the disadvantage that construction costs are high because the number of constructions required is two. In addition, when protecting FRP, the styrene monomer in the constituent materials may interfere with corrosion protection.
Due to the shrinkage that occurs when FRP hardens, the anticorrosion may peel off from the metal surface of the object to be protected, which poses a problem in terms of anticorrosion performance.

One purpose of the present invention is to provide an excellent method for preventing corrosion of piping, etc., which solves the problems of petrolatum-based corrosion protection layer. The purpose is to use an anticorrosion material containing 0.1 to 10% weight of acrylic oligomer.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in detail with reference to the drawings. σ1 is a metal pipe, 2 is a petrolatum-based anticorrosive material installed on the surface of the metal pipe 1, and σ1 is a petrolatum-based anticorrosive material installed on the surface of the metal pipe 1. When such anti-corrosion materials are used, the acrylic oligomer added to the anti-corrosion layer gradually bleeds out and forms a thin layer on the surface of the anti-corrosion layer, which prevents oxidation of the anti-corrosion layer and reacts with ultraviolet rays from sunlight etc. Creates a hardened film that protects the surface.

If the surface of the anti-corrosion layer is scratched, the acrylic oligomer inside bleeds out, reacts with ultraviolet rays and hardens, thereby repairing the outer coating and maintaining its anti-corrosion function. The reason why the acrylic oligomer is limited to 0.1 to 10% by weight as shown by Kadako is that if it is less than 0.1% by weight, a hardened layer will not form on the surface, and if it exceeds 10% by weight, the hardened layer will be thick and the surface will crack. This is to raise the issue. In addition, an optional sensitizing agent may be added to the anticorrosive layer together with the acrylic oligomer. The above-mentioned petrolatum-based anticorrosive layer can be formed by impregnating cloth or the like with a petrolatum-based mixture, or by impregnating cloth or the like with a petrolatum-based mixture. It is formed by applying it to a tape or sheet.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the acrylic oligomer is added to the anticorrosive layer of the petrolatum thread anticorrosive layer, a protective layer is formed on the surface of the anticorrosive layer, which is different from the conventional method. There is no need to install a protective cover like UniFRp or apply protective paint.
