房機は、リビングルーム用として設置するには適当なも
のであるが、ある所定の室内のみのものとなる。従って
、分離形冷暖房機は、リビングルーム用として設け、使
用頻度の少ない室内には、多室形冷暖房システムを設け
ることになる。或いは、図示していないが、室外ユニッ
トに、圧縮機を2台組込み、単独用(−室用)と、多室
用に分岐したシステムがあるが、これらいずれの方法も
室外ユニットが2台となったり、必要以上に、大型とな
ったり、従って設置上に制約が出て、一般住宅には不向
となる。
