Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently carry out flat surface-polishing, by arranging a plurality of magnetic pole pieces for constituting N-poles and S-poles, in concave and convex shapes, and by providing a non-magnetic material at the convex parts of each magnetic pole piece so that magnetic abrasive is concentrated at the concave part of the magnetic pole piece. CONSTITUTION:In a tool made of magnetic material, six magnetic pole pieces 2 in a dog-leg shape for constituting N-poles and S-poles are circularly positioned, and therefore, arranged in concave and convex shapes, the convex part 3 of each magnetic pole piece 2 being provided with a non-magnetic material 4. The tool 1 is attached by means of bolts 10 to an iron core which is integrally secured to a yoke 5 by bolts 6 and around which a coil 12 is wound. In the case of a non-magnetic work 14, a supporting bed 15 is secured to a table 18 with non- magnetic materials 17 being interposed therebetween, so that a gap 16 is defined between the flat surface of the work 14 which is set on the supporting bed 15, and the convex parts 3 of the magnetic pole pieces 3. Meanwhile, in the case of a magnetic material work 14, the work 17 is set on the table 18 with the non- magnetic materials 17 being interposed therebetween.

A machine tool and method for polishing workpieces is disclosed in British Patent Specification No. 1,370,356. However, according to what was disclosed in the British Patent Specification 1, the tool was divided into north and south poles, and the workpiece was rotated by sandwiching the workpiece between the north and south poles. . Therefore, the technique disclosed in the British patent specification has the disadvantage that it is useless as a machine tool for magnetically polishing the flat surface of a workpiece.

In FIG. 1, a tool 1 is made of a magnetic material, for example SS41, and has dogleg-shaped magnetic pole pieces 2 that constitute kJ poles and S poles.
As shown in Figure 2, 6III! J They are arranged in a circular pattern and arranged in an uneven pattern, and a non-magnetic material such as brass 4 is arranged on the convex part 3 of the valley pole piece 2, that is, on the boundary between the N pole and the S pole. Tool 1
is integrally attached to the yoke 5 with bolts 6, and is attached to the iron core 7 with a bolt 10 passing through a hole 9 in the central part 8, so that the peripheral part 11 and the central part 8 of the tool l are in contact with the yoke 5 and the iron core 7. The state will be as follows. A coil 12 is wound around the iron core 7. If the workpiece 14 is a non-magnetic material, the workpiece 14 is mounted on a support base 15i made of a magnetic material, for example 5S41, and is removably fixed. The support base 15 is fixed to the table 18 via the non-magnetic material 17 so that a gap 16 is formed between the flat surface 14a of the workpiece 14 and the convex portion 3 of the magnetic pole piece 2. When the workpiece I4 is a magnetic material, the workpiece 14 is a non-magnetic material 17.
It is placed on the table 18 via the holder and removably fixed.

The table 18 reciprocates left and right. In some cases, the table 18 may be moved left and right or in a right-and-left direction while reciprocating left and right.

The magnetic flux ψ is generated from the N pole of each magnetic pole piece 2 to the convex portion 3 as shown in the figure.
, passes through the gap 16, the workpiece 14, and a part of the support base 15, turns around, passes through the workpiece 14, the gap I6, and returns to the south pole.

Under these circumstances, the rotating shaft 13 should be connected to the appropriate rotating body 20.
By holding and rotating the workpiece 14 at the same time and moving the workpiece 14 by reciprocating the table 8, the flat surface 14a of the workpiece 14 is

Therefore, as shown in Fig. 4, when the amount of brass 4 is arranged at one dragon width, the magnetic flux ψ1 exits from the convex part 3 from the N pole of each magnetic pole piece 2 and is processed. It reverses near the plane 14a of the object 14 and returns to the S pole.

As explained above, the present invention includes a tool in which a plurality of magnetic pole pieces constituting N and S poles are arranged in a concave and convex shape, and a non-magnetic material is arranged on the convex part of each magnetic pole piece.
