Traditionally, it has been used to facilitate the removal of mortar, cement, joint material, etc. (hereinafter referred to as mortar, etc.) that adheres to the surface of tiles during tile installation or when manufacturing Tile'o panels. Therefore, tiles to which various types of surface protection agents are attached or coated are known.

One type of such tiles is a tile in which a water-repellent coating of silicone resin, 15 ruboxymethylcellulose, or the like is formed on the surface of the tile body, but this type of tile has the following drawbacks. That is, when forming a water-repellent coating on a water-absorbing unglazed tile body that has minute irregularities, the recesses on the surface of the tile body are filled to make the surface smooth so that mortar 20 etc. do not get into the recesses on the surface of the tile body. Therefore, it is necessary to form a thick water-repellent coating. This means that 25 coats of mortar, etc. are applied to the surface of a large number of tiles pasted to form a predetermined joint gap on the construction surface and to the joint gaps, and after the specified curing period, the tile surface is washed with water and the mortar, etc. is applied. This work is particularly necessary when performing a method of removing tiles to obtain a tile construction surface, so-called joint construction. However, increasing the thickness of the water-repellent film leads to an increase in cost, and even if a thick water-repellent film is formed, it will take a lot of time to remove the film, and if the removal is insufficient, The drawback was that it damaged the texture of the tile surface. Additionally, tiles whose surface is coated with sand, powder, etc. are also known as tiles used for plastering joint construction, but when such tiles are used for plastering joint construction, sand and powder are It has the disadvantage that it gets mixed into the joint material, reducing the strength of the joint material, and that the joint material becomes discolored due to the powder. Furthermore, as tiles used in the pre-installation method, tiles whose surface is coated with a setting retardant such as starch paste or sugar water are also known, but when such tiles are used,
The setting retardant not only delays the hardening of mortar, etc. attached to the surface of the tile body, but also delays the hardening of mortar, etc. at the joints, so during the process of washing the tile surface with water, the mortar, etc. at the joints are also washed away. This resulted in a disadvantage of poor joint finish. This invention was made with the aim of eliminating the drawbacks of the conventional tiles mentioned above.

The tile surface protection agent used in this invention is an inorganic powder of bentonite that develops adhesive properties when the liquid as a dispersion medium evaporates (hereinafter referred to as adhesive-producing inorganic powder).

Both water-soluble and water-insoluble water repellents can be used. Tile surface protection agents are once dispersed in a liquid, and water is generally used as the dispersion medium, but the tile body itself, which is the object to be coated, is treated to be water repellent. If alcohol, keto
It is recommended to use organic solvents of the 4 types. The suspension of the tile surface protective agent is applied to the surface of the tile body by brushing or spraying. In addition, tile surface protection agents are used by suspending them in a dispersion medium, but they are used by suspending them in a dispersion medium. May be used.

According to the tile surface protective agent used in the present invention, it is easy to fill the recesses on the surface of the tile body to make the surface smooth, and mortar etc. adhering to the surface of the tile body can be easily removed by washing with water. Not only can it be removed, but
You can finish the joints beautifully.

Furthermore, even if the tile surface protective agent is mixed into the mortar or the like in the joint area, it does not reduce the strength of the joint area or discolor the joint area. Since the tile surface protective agent is mixed with a water repellent, when the tiles to which the tile surface protective agent is applied are used for painting joints, the trowel slides easily. In addition, the powdery filler is filled in the recesses on the surface of the tile body, which has an uneven surface, and the above-mentioned tile surface protection agent is applied on top of it, so the tile can be used for plastering joint construction. Even when used, there is no risk of the joint material penetrating into the surface recesses. Therefore, tiles with uneven surfaces, which conventionally could not be used for joint construction, can be used for joint construction, which is more efficient than single joint construction. Hereinafter, each of the above inventions will be explained based on examples.

The suspension was applied with a brush to the surface of the water-absorbing tile body, and the resulting tile was pasted on the construction surface so as to form a predetermined joint gap, and then a predetermined joint material was applied. It was applied to the tile surface and filled into the joint gaps. After curing for one day, the tile surface was washed with water to wash away the grout material adhering to it along with the tile surface protective agent. As a result, we were able to completely remove dirt from the tile surface. On the other hand, as comparative examples, 1) a tile with a silicone water repellent [trade name: Polon C] spray-coated on the surface of the tile body; 2: a silicone acrylic emulsion type water repellent [trade name: Parapolon E (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.)] 3-floor tile protectant [Product name: Gr
A tile construction surface was obtained in the same manner as in Example 1 using each tile with OutGuard (manufactured by Klein, Inc., USA) applied to the surface of the tile body using a roll brush.

However, black stains remained on the surfaces of each of the tiles Nos. 1, 2, and 3 above, and it was not possible to obtain beautiful tile surfaces like the tiles made according to the present invention. The tile main body used in this example is a so-called scratch tile, which has a plurality of grooves with a depth of 2 to 3 mm and a width of about 1 to 3 mm formed on its surface. Before applying the agent suspension to the surface of the tile body, apply it to the recesses on the surface of the tile body.
It was filled with No. 8 silica sand, and then a suspension of a tile surface protective agent was applied with a brush and dried to obtain a tile to which the tile surface protective agent was attached.

Using this tile, a tile construction surface was obtained by the same joint construction method as in Example 1. Conventionally, it has been difficult to use the tile used in this example, which has uneven surfaces on the surface of the tile main body, for plastering joint construction because the joint material gets into the recesses on the surface, but with the tile according to the present invention, This makes it possible to perform joint filling construction, which can improve work efficiency by three times compared to single joint filling construction. In addition,
Although it rained more than 100 times during the period between tile installation and joint construction, the tile surface protective agent did not peel off or run off due to the rain, proving that the tile surface protective agent is strong against rain. Example 3 These were suspended and dissolved in the same amount of water to obtain a tile surface protection agent suspension.

After applying the suspension to the surface of a large number of tile bodies with a brush,
The tile was dried to obtain a tile to which a tile surface protective agent was attached. After placing these tiles, with their surfaces facing downward, into the tile insertion recesses of the rubber or other joint squares, place the side of the joint square on which the tiles are not installed on the side that will be inside the concrete formwork. After installation, a concrete formwork is assembled, concrete is poured into the space surrounded by the concrete formwork, and after the specified curing period, the formwork and joints are removed, and then the joints and tiles are placed. The mortar or cement that had flowed out onto the tile surface side through the gaps was washed away with water, together with the tile surface protective agent, to obtain a beautiful tile wall surface. On the other hand, as comparative examples, 1) a silicone water repellent [trade name: POLON C] was spray-coated on the surface of the tile body, and 2) a silicone acrylic emulsion type water repellent [trade name: PARAPOLON E] was spray-coated on the surface of the tile body. A tile wall surface was obtained in the same manner as in Example 3 using a tile and a tile whose surface was coated with a 330% starch paste solution.
