Abstract

PURPOSE:To save the installation space of the machine tool in the headline and to reduce its cost, by a method wherein the function of a chuck claw exchanging device is combined with that of a feeder for a workpiece. CONSTITUTION:A lathe body 1 is provided with a chuck 2, a claw inserting removing device 4, and a rotary feeder 5 which is available for both the function of a claw 3 and feed ejection of a workpiece. The claw inserting removing device 4 causes the position of the claw 3 to correctly match with the position of the claw engaging groove in the chuck, and pushes the claw 3 in the groove to secure it therein, thus completing operation to insert the claw. The above operation is effected only the number of times equivalent to that of the claws. When a given processing is completed and a claw ejecting instruction is issued, the claw 3 mounted to the chuck is ejected to a stowing device 6 in reverse order to that of operation to feed the claw and the ejecting work is completed.

共用化することによシ、前記の問題を解決しようとする
ものである。このため、チャック本体から・爪を抜き取
シ、加工物の供給装置に渡し、加工物の貯蔵装置と共用
のチャック爪貯蔵箇所に保管する。

差装置4及び、爪3と加工物の供給、排出を兼ねた自動
供給装置5が装備されている。更に旋盤本体とは別に爪
の貯蔵と加工物の貯蔵を兼ねた、貯蔵装置6を有してい
る。該貯蔵装置6の受台7上に加工物とその加工物を把
握するために必要なチャック爪3′を予め、セットして
おき、爪の供給指令を与えると、まず、貯蔵装置6.1
:の爪3を供給装置が把んで型抜差装置4に受渡す。型
抜差装置4は、爪3の位置とチャックの爪嵌合溝位置を
正しく合わせ、爪3をチャックの溝の中に押し込み固定

換が完了した後で必要に応じて、爪の取付状態を点検し
