On the other hand, in motorcycles, a configuration is known in which a part of the direction detection sensor is mounted inside the vehicle body at the rear, but in this configuration, there are many parts that have magnetic material near the sensor, and part of the sensor is attached to the magnetic body. Not only does it have problems where it does not work correctly due to the influence of the sensor, but it is also difficult to mount it close to the surface of the vehicle, and it is difficult to adjust some parts of the sensor.

A fender 18 fixed to a front fork 12 connecting the first front wheel 1 and the handlebar 6 has a main component made of a non-magnetic material, such as resin or aluminum alloy. A direction detection sensor part 14 is provided on the upper surface near the front end of the fender 18, as shown in FIG. A bolt (not shown) made of non-magnetic material (aluminum copper alloy, etc.) on the fender 18
One sensor 15 is fixed to the sensor 15, and each sensor 15 has a non-magnetic body protruding upward.
16.17 is fixed. The upper surface of the sensor unit 15 is a substantially horizontally flat plane, and a sensor body 18 is mounted on the upper surface to detect the direction of the earth's magnetism using the force of the horizontal component of the earth's magnetism.

A flange 19 is integrally formed at the lower end of the sensor body 18, and as shown in FIG. 4, the flange 19 is provided with elongated holes 20. Bolts 16 and 17 are fitted into 21 and nut 2
Fixed by 2.23. A mark 24 is formed at the front end of the flange 19 to indicate a mark 25 marked on the top surface of each sensor 15. Further, as shown in FIG. 8, a cap 26 made of wood that covers the sensor body 18 from the outside is fixed to the outer periphery of the sensor unit 15 by fitting or the like. Further, as shown in FIG. 1, the sensor part 14 is connected to an amplifier 27 built inside the windshield plate 7 via a node (not shown), and the amplifier 2
7 is connected to the compass 28 of FIG. 2 via the /h-nes. The compass 28 is fitted into the spring μ8 and has a display surface as shown in FIG. That is, an alphabet indicating a direction is drawn on the outer periphery, and the direction is indicated by changing the indicated position force of the needle mark 80 displayed on the liquid crystal panel 29 in the center.

Next, the effect will be explained. For geomagnetism, the direction detection sensor part 14
The sensor main body 18 electrically detects the current, and the amplifier 27 amplifies and controls the display of the compass 28. That is, the direction of travel is notified to the fender sound transmission. Here, since the sensor part 14 is provided on the fender 18, the direction in which the steering wheel 6 is turned is not displayed, but the direction in which the driver is heading is accurately shown to the driver. Further, since there is nothing in the vicinity of the sensor part 14 provided on the non-magnetic fender 1B that affects magnetism, accurate orientation can be indicated.

On the other hand, when used in a country like Canada, which has a high latitude and is long from east to west, it is necessary to correct errors caused by the misalignment between the north pole and the magnetic pole. In this case, the cap 26 in FIG.
is removed, the nut 22.2B is loosened, and the sensor body 18 is rotated about the vertical axis using the mark 24 and the eyelid 25 as a guide, thereby making the correction. This correction method can be employed even when there is simply a misalignment between the orientation of the fender 18 and the display.

In this case, correction can be made by removing the lid 4o and inserting a seat bar or a coin into the four parts 88 from above.
Try to rotate it. The diameter of the lid 40 is made larger than that shown in FIG.
The degree of rotation of the sensor main body 85 may be determined from the relationship between these marks and the eyes. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 8, as a display method of the direction meter 28, the display of the alphabetical part indicating the direction on the outer circumference may be changed.
