Abstract

PURPOSE:To perfectly prevent cuttings from being tangled with cutting edge by fitting a rotary brush to adjust it to the shape of a cutting tool at the time of automatic removal of cuttings tangled with a cutting edge of NC machine and arranging so that the direction of the brush rotation is reverse to that of the cutting direction. CONSTITUTION:A cutting tool moves to a removing point of cuttings after machining of a work is finished. An air oscillating device 1 is operated according to NC command to perform 90 deg. indexing and to set said tool in a point of action. An air grinder 2 fitted with a wire brush 3 is rotated. Cuttings tangled with a cutting edge 5 are forcibly excluded by adjusting a brush 3, to the shape of a cutting tool and bringing said brush in contact with the cutting tool in such a way as the rotating direction of the brush 3 is reverse to that of the cutting, direction and the cutting edge 5 moves to a tool changing point later.

去するもので次に述べるような特徴を有する切粉除去装
置である。
