Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an elongated printed matter by using an existing printing plate cylinder without using any printing plate cylinder that has a large circumference, by a method wherein a plurality of kinds of pattern components are combined to form a composite pattern while setting repeating periods of the pattern components to be shorter than that of the composite pattern. CONSTITUTION:Patterns (a), (b) are printed on a rolled paper 10 by the first printing plate cylinder 8 comprising a printing plate surface 6 in which an effective printing plate surface region 1 is sectioned alternately into non-printing regions 2, 4 and printing regions 3, 5 along the circumferential surface of a form cylinder 7 at regular pitch in the circumferential direction and in which the first group of patterns (a), (b) are provided sequentially in the printing regions 3, 5. Then, other patterns are printed on blank parts of the thus printed paper by using the second printing plate 18 comprising a printing plate surface 16 in which an effective printing plate surface region is sectioned into non-printing regions 11, 13, 15 and printing regions 10, 12, 14 along the circumferential surface of a form cylinder 17 having a circumference different from that of the form cylinder 7 for the first printing plate cylinder 8 at regular pitch in the circumferential direction and in which the second group of patterns A, B, C are provided sequentially in the printing regions. Accordingly, printing is conducted with a long period of repetition of patterns.

In the examples shown in Figures 1 to 3 above, the pitch of each pattern, that is, the dimension in the length direction of the repetition period, are all equal for simplicity, so the repetition period in Figure 1 is the same for each pattern. It is 12 times the pitch, 6 times the pitch in FIG. 2, and 9 times the pitch in FIG. Therefore, compared to the repetition period of the composite pattern shown in FIG. 1 in which the pattern components shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 are combined.

The effective printing surface area was applied to the foamed wallpaper winding base paper prepared by coating and gelling the colored vinyl chloride paste containing a foaming agent on the backing paper of Example ioo~. A small-diameter printing plate that is alternately divided into non-printing areas and printing areas at every lθ% in the direction, and has a plate surface in which a first group of multicolor abstract pattern plates are sequentially allocated to the printing area. The effective plate surface area is divided into a non-printing area and a printing area alternately at 10% intervals in the circumferential direction, and three second groups of multicolors are provided in the printing area. Using a large-diameter printing plate on which a printing plate with an abstract pattern is sequentially arranged, printing with the small-diameter printing plate and busy printing with the large-diameter printing plate are sequentially performed to print a long plate. Then, along the circumferential surface of the plate cylinder with a circumference tIIo'x*, the effective plate surface area is divided into a non-printing area and a printing area alternately at every 10x in the circumferential direction, and the printing area is divided into two areas. A small-diameter printing plate is formed with a printing plate in which red rice with a multicolored abstract pattern of the first group is sequentially laid out, and the effective printing plate area is 1260% along the circumference of the plate cylinder. The small-diameter printing plate is produced by using a large-diameter printing plate that is alternately divided into areas and printing areas, and has a plate surface in which three second groups of multicolored abstract pattern red rice are sequentially allocated to the printing area. Printing with the large-diameter printing plate and printing with the large-diameter printing plate are performed sequentially to print a long strip of sekihan, and then the effective plate surface area is set every 1/0% in the circumferential direction along the circumferential surface of the plate cylinder with a circumference of gqθ. A small-diameter printing plate with a plate surface that is alternately divided into a non-printing area and a printing area, and in which the first group of multicolor abstract pattern printing plates are sequentially allocated to the printing area.
The effective plate surface area is 210% in the circumferential direction along the circumferential surface of the plate cylinder.
Printing using a small-diameter printing plate using a large-diameter printing plate that is alternately divided into non-printing areas and printing areas at intervals, and in which three second groups of multicolored abstract pattern printing plates are sequentially allocated to the printing area. Then, printing was carried out sequentially using a large-diameter printing plate, and long-length printing was carried out using a matching plate, thereby printing the pattern and the pattern of the suppressed portion after foaming in multiple colors.

更に印刷面にオーバーコートを行なった。Furthermore, the printed surface was overcoated.

(Effects) Since the long printed matter of the present invention has the above configuration, it is suitable for obtaining printed matter with a repetition period longer than the circumference of the plate cylinder using a printing plate with a relatively small diameter or an existing printing plate. Therefore, the long printed matter of the present invention can be effectively applied to the production of long wall materials, long ceiling materials, and long floor materials with patterns such as wood grain patterns and abstract patterns.
