用しているが、現金自動支払機における支払い紙幣の一
部取り残しや自動入金装置において真偽判別の結果返却
された紙幣を取り忘れて立ち去るなどが問題となつた。
そこで従来はこのような紙幣の取り忘れを検知すると警
報を発したり、あるいは一定時間経過しても紙幣が取り
去られない場合はこの紙幣を装置内に取り込むなどの対
策が考えられた。しカルながら前者は紙幣の取忘れをし
た者だけでなく周囲の者にも知らせることになり、装置
が屋外に設置されていて本人が警報に気づかない場合不
正な第3者に紙幣を持ち去られる危険がある。また後者
は紙幣の取り忘れに気づいた利用者が戻つてきてもその
時には既に紙幣が装置内に取り込まれて係員を呼ばない
と取り戻せない場合がある。本発明はこのような問題を
解決するためになされたもので、利用者に渡すべき紙幣
の取り出し口に設けた紙幣検出センサと、前記紙幣検出
センサからの出力信号により紙幣の有無を判定する回路
と、取引処理動作の終了後第1の一定時間経過後に前記
回路から紙幣有りの信号が出力される時そのときの取引
情報を記憶する手段と、前記取引情報記憶と同時に取出
口の紙幣を装置内に取込む手段と、紙幣を取り込んでか
ら第二の一定時間が経過するまでに入力された本人確認
情報と前記記憶された取引情報とを比較する手段と、前
記比較の結果両者が特定の関係にあるとき装置内に取り
込んだ紙幣を取出し口に送る給送手段とを備え、一定時
間内であれば係員の手を介さずに取忘れ紙幣を取り戻せ
るようにしたものである。

作させる。その結果取出し口1の紙幣は装置内に吸収さ
れると共に切替えガイド10が第1図破線の位置に移動
するため取込み給送部6に向つて進み、この取込み給送
部6によつて一時貯留部8に貯留される。また取引処理
主制御回路13は前記紙幣の取込みと同時に第2タイマ
17に始動信号を出し、更に操作指示の表示部18に一
般利用者の操作案内文言に合わせて紙幣取忘れの利用者
用の操作案内文言を表示させる。利用者自身によつて操
作される操作部19には紙幣の取忘れを指示する操作釦
20が設けられている。この操作釦20が上記第2タイ
マ17で予じめ設定された第2の一定時間内に押下され
ると、禁止ゲート22からこの押下信号が取引処理制御
回路13に供給される。取引処理制御回路13はこれに
より表示部18に本人確認用の暗証番号を入力するよう
に表示する。利用者は操作部19のテンキー21を用い
て暗証番号を入力する。入力された暗証番号は取引処理
制御回路13において記憶装置16に記憶された上記取
引情報の対応する情報と比較される。その結果両者が特
定の関係にあるとき取込み給送部6に返却指令が出され
、また、紙幣給送部5に正送指令が出されて一時貯留部
8の紙幣が取出し口1に戻される。一方前記比較の結果
特定関係にないことが判明した場合は何も動作しない。
上記操作釦20が第2の一定時間内に押下されない場合
は取引処理主制御回路13から取込み給送部6に対して
再び取込み指令が出され、一時貯留部8の紙幣を送つて
収納庫9内に落下させるようにする。かくして上記構成
の自動取引装置においては、第1の一定時間が経過して
も取出し口に紙幣が存在した場合は取り忘れとみなして
その紙幣をいつたん装置内に取り込み、第2の一定時間
内に紙幣q杷忘れが利用者から指示されかつその利用者
が紙幣を取り忘れた利用者にまちがいないことが確認さ
れたときにはいつたん取り込んだ紙幣を取出し口に戻し
、前記第2の一定時間が過ぎるともはや利用者自らの操
