Conventionally, there is a multi-tone chime in which a plurality of sounding sticks or sounding boards are prepared and struck repeatedly in a preset order, but the sounding body is large, the drive control is complicated, and it is expensive. In addition, it is necessary to prepare as many sounding bodies as there are tones, and since it is a continuous hitting type, it is not possible to create continuous sounds. The present invention provides an electronic chime that can produce multiple tones with a simple configuration, and one embodiment thereof will be described below.

A pull-up resistor is inserted between the input terminals INφ-1N3 of the microcomputer MC, and a switch sφ-53 is inserted between the power supply V and the ground, respectively. When the switch is not operated, each input is held at the power supply voltage level (H level) by a pull-up resistor. When a switch is operated, the corresponding input goes to earth level (L
level). This level change is detected by the microcomputer MC, and the operated switch is determined.
For example, switch sφ is at the entrance, switch 51 is at the back entrance, and switch 52 is at the back entrance.
Separately, 53 is installed in the kitchen. Output terminal OUTφ
is connected to the base of the transistor Tr2 via a protective resistor 2. The emitter of transistor Tr2 is grounded,
The collector is connected to a 15 speaker section (not shown). An audio frequency pulse is output from the output terminal OUTφ as shown in FIG. 2C. The other output terminal OUTI is connected to the transistor T through an integrating circuit consisting of a resistor R and a capacitor C.
Connected to the base of rl. The 20 collector of Trl is connected to the power supply, the emitter is connected to ground through a resistor rl, and at the same time is connected to the collector of Tr2 through a resistor 3. Further, a diode D is inserted between the emitter of Trl and the base of Tr2. From output terminal OUTI a
As shown in FIG. 2, a pulse train is output at a constant period of 25. Due to the effect of the integrating circuit formed by the resistor R and the capacitor C, a voltage such as b is generated at the emitter of the transistor Trl in accordance with the duty ratio of this pulse train. Since this voltage acts as the power supply voltage of the transistor Tr2, the signal at the output terminal OUTφ is amplitude-modulated at the terminal OUT so as to have an envelope expressed by the duty ratio of the output terminal OUTI, as shown in d. Output terminal OUTφ
Various tones can be created by changing the frequency of the signal output from the OUTI and the duty ratio of the pulse train output from the OUTI in a preset order. Note that the diode D has a protective function to prevent the base voltage of the transistor Tr2 from becoming higher than the power supply voltage of the transistor Tr2. Here, by operating the switches Sφ, Sl, S2, and S3, the duty ratios of the pulses obtained from the output terminal 0UT1 are changed in different orders, and at least the frequency of the pulses obtained from 0UTφ and the manner in which they change are changed. For example, by setting one of them to change, for example, operating the switch Sφ will cause the sound to change, "Pororon" by operating the switch S1, "ping phone" by operating the switch S1, "pipipi" by operating the switch S2, and "u11" by operating the switch S3. A multi-tone chime sound can be obtained, and it is also possible to emit a unique melody selected by the switch. Furthermore, by employing this configuration in the output section of a microcomputer application device, a multi-tone alarm can be added.

Furthermore, it is also possible to selectively generate a melody by a combination of switch operations.

Furthermore, depending on the microcomputer's program, it is extremely easy to emit a variety of different melodies and tones when the switch Sφ is operated according to a predetermined procedure (as part of the Morse code key operation). It can be done. In this way, even if you install one switch on the doorbell, you can make different melodies depending on the operating procedure, and you can tell from the sound whether it is a visitor, the owner is coming home, or a child is coming home. We can provide chimes that were previously unimaginable. As described above, the present invention provides an electronic chime which has a simple configuration and whose tone colors can be varied in a wide variety of ways with simple operations.
