Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain easily a composite contact comprising a combination of an arbitrary contact metal with a composite inorganic additive, by carrying out dispersion plating of particles of an organic compound such as PS or the like that contain additive particles of an arbitrary inorganic oxide to be dispersed into a contact metal such as gold, silver, etc., then treating the organic compound at high temperatures to be removed. CONSTITUTION:As an additive an inorganic oxide such as RuO2, SnO2, CdO, ZnO, etc. is suspended and solidified in an organic compound such as PS, polyamide, etc. to obtain an organic powder 3. The dispersion plating of the powder 3 and a contact metal 2 of gold, silver, a platinum group metal or its alloy is applied on a substrate metal 1 of an iron/Ni alloy or the like. This electric contact is treated at a high temperature of 600 deg.C or over under an oxidizing atmosphere so that the organic compound in the powder 3 is burnt or evaporated to be removed. Thus a composite contact can be easily obtained wherein the additive 4 is approximately uniformly dispersed and remained in the contact metal film 2.

For this purpose, the production method according to the present invention comprises polystyrene containing composite additive particles consisting of any inorganic oxide;
After dispersing and plating organic compound powder such as polyamide into contact metal such as gold or silver, this organic compound is burnt or vaporized by high temperature treatment, thereby dispersing the composite additive particles into the contact metal film. 17 to form a composite contact between the contact metal and the inorganic oxide.
