Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate easy control of screen, by providing a contrast/brightness control function of screen to a display device. CONSTITUTION:The video signal output is supplied to a syncrhonism control part 16 and a video amplifying part 17 from a receiver main body A through a cable 15. The part 17 contains a contrast control variable resistance 18 and a brightness control variable resistance 19. A liquid crystal panel 22 is dirven by the synchronizing signal output 20 and video amplification output 21 to project pictures on a screen. Both resistances 18 and 19 are provided at a display part to ensure the proper control while looking at the screen.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention provides a receiver main body that includes a broadcast signal processing section and a power supply section that output video signals and audio signals, and a video signal and drive source that are supplied from the receiver main body via a cable. This invention relates to contrast adjustment and brightness adjustment for a portable television receiver consisting of two voltage-operated displays.

The contrast adjustment and brightness adjustment of conventional dual-type portable television receivers have the following drawbacks due to circuit configuration problems. FIG. 1 shows an example of a conventional circuit configuration and will be described. Conventionally, a liquid crystal panel has been used as a display device in a two-type pocket television receiver, and therefore, the liquid crystal panel will be explained below as a display device.

In the conventional circuit configuration example shown in FIG. 1, a video signal output 1 and a power supply voltage 2 are supplied from the receiver main body to the display section BIC via a cable 3.4. In display B, the video signal is input to a synchronization control section 7 which separates the amplitude of the horizontal and vertical synchronization signals and outputs a synchronization signal output 6 for driving the liquid crystal panel 5, and a video amplification section 9 that outputs a video amplification output 8. .

In addition, by adjusting the contrast adjustment flexible resistor 10, the video signal can be adjusted without changing the DC level 12 of the video signal at point a in FIG. 1, as shown in the video signal during contrast adjustment in FIG. The Daiki of the issue can change 13. In addition, by adjusting the brightness adjustment variable resistor 14, the image of the point shown in Figure 1 (DC level 12 of No. Ji) can be adjusted.
This can be achieved by changing the image signal as shown in the video signal at the time of brightness adjustment in Figure 3.

The contrast of the screen is directly related to the size of the video signal, while the brightness is determined by the DC level π of the video signal.
And, the brightness adjustment variable [resistance 11K, therefore, the truss], the brightness can be adjusted.

In this conventional circuit configuration, the contrast adjustment
Since the amplitude of the video signal at each point changes, when the video signal becomes small, the amplitude separation ability of the horizontal and vertical synchronization signals in the synchronization control section 10 is significantly degraded.

An example of a circuit configuration according to the present invention f is shown in FIG. The video signal output 14 is input from the receiver body A through a cable 15 to a synchronization control section 16 and a video amplification section 17. Video amplification section 1
7 includes a variable resistor 18 for contrast adjustment and a variable resistor 19 for brightness adjustment. The fact that the synchronization signal output 20 and video amplification output 21 drive the liquid crystal panel 22 to display the screen is different from the conventional one.
