Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a welding wire having excellent welding performance and high electrical conductivity, by incorporating a specific amt. of Mn, further contg. at least 1 kind among P, Li, B and consisting of the balance Cu. CONSTITUTION:A welding wire consists of 0.1-0.4% Mn, contains further at least 1 kind among respectively 0.005-0.3 P, Li, B and consists of the balance C. Said wire has high electrical conductivity and excellent welding workability. Such wire is ideally suited for welding the cooling plates and tuyeres for blast furnaces and electrical parts of others where the high heat conductivity is expected. The workability, strength, bending, etc. in welding are practically the same as those of commrcially available welding wires, and there is no decrease in the welding performance that occurs in the increased conductivity.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a steel welding wire having excellent welding performance and high electrical conductivity.

The conductivity of commonly used steel welding wire is 30~
Since it is 8% of 40IAC, the high thermal conductivity, which is one of the characteristics of copper, is inhibited by the welded part using this wire. Therefore, if an attempt is made to increase the electrical conductivity in this welded part, problems such as pinholes, cracks, and poor fusion are likely to occur, and workability is also poor.

The present invention proposes a wire rod free from such drawbacks, and its composition contains 0.1 to 0.4% of Mn, and further P,
It contains at least one of 0.005 and 0.3 of each of Lx and B, with the remainder being Cu, and is characterized by high electrical conductivity and excellent welding workability.

Table 1 shows the results of various tests conducted on each of the above examples by butt welding 121 m thick deoxidized copper plates using the TIG welding method. For comparison, commercially available steel welding wires were also used. The test was conducted at the same time and the results are also shown.

As is clear from Table 1, the wire of the present invention can be expected to have high electrical conductivity, so it is ideal for welding blast furnace cooling plates, siding, and their low-electrical parts, which are expected to have high thermal conductivity. . In addition, regarding welding workability, strength, bending, etc.
It is almost the same as the commercially available product, and no deterioration in welding performance due to increased conductivity is observed.

The reason why Mn is limited to 0.1 to 0.4% is that 0.1% to 0.4% is used.
This is because if the content is less than 1%, the strength will be insufficient, and if it exceeds 0.4%, the electrical conductivity will decrease. Next, the reason why PlLi and B are limited to 0.005 to 0.3%, respectively, is 0.005% to 0.3%.
This is because if the content is less than 0.001, the deoxidizing effect is low, and if it exceeds 0.3%, pinholes and cracks are likely to occur.
