Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to select terminal inserting holes depending on interval of pinholes on the substrate by providing a plurality of pairs of terminal inserting holes in difference interval to an insulating socket body. CONSTITUTION:The two pairs of terminal inserting holes 5 and 6, 5-1 and 6-1 which allow insertion of pin terminals are formed in such a way that they are opening respectively at the upper part, at the rising wall 4 and recessed part 3 of the socket body 1 which has formed coaxially the battery holding recessed part 3 with the opening part 2. The intervals of two pairs of terminal inserting holes are difference as indicated by L and l and these intervals match the pinhole intervals at the side of printed circuit board. In the case of holding only one flat type battery 9 consisting of a silver battery or mercury battery, the pin terminals 10, 11 inserted to the terminal inserting holes 5, 6 are respectively welded to the case and cover of battery 9 at the sharp and protruded end portion 12 and the sealing shoulder part of battery is held by a ring-shaped tongue portion 8 so that it is not removed from the recessed part 3.

Conventional Structure and Problems Conventionally, a battery socket for holding a flat battery in which a bottle-shaped terminal is inserted into a bottle-shaped terminal insertion hole arranged on a printed circuit board has been used on the battery contacting surface of an electrically insulating board. A bottle-shaped terminal is provided in contact with either the positive or negative terminal of the flat battery, and an elastic terminal is provided on the battery contacting surface of this board or another surface to contact the other terminal of the battery to press and fix the battery to the board. It is known that a terminal is provided and both terminals extend in the same direction like a semiconductor element glue.

In this case, although not shown, since the battery mounting surface has a smooth planar shape in an electrically insulating board in which pin-shaped terminals are embedded, a special conductive material is used to suppress and fix the battery to the board. Even though it is made of elastic metal, if abnormal vibrations or shocks are applied to an electronic device that incorporates this battery socket into a printed circuit board, the force of the elastic terminal to hold the battery in place may However, when the abnormal vibration force is large, there is a defect that the battery separates from between the board and the elastic terminal.Purpose of the InventionThe battery socket of the present invention not only solves the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional battery, but also It also securely holds laminated flat batteries.

Structure of the Invention In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the battery socket of the present invention has an opening in the center, a battery holding recess concentrically with the opening, and a generally dish-shaped socket with a rising wall formed on the outside thereof. A plurality of pairs of terminal inserters at different intervals are formed in the insulating socket body so that one opens on the inner bottom surface of the battery holding recess and the other opens on the upper surface of the rising wall. The device is characterized in that an annular tongue piece for holding the battery is provided on the upper circumferential edge so as to protrude inwardly. This prevents the terminal from separating from the battery and makes it possible to securely hold the battery.

Effects of the Invention When holding the flat type battery of the present invention using a socket, it cannot be attached to a board unless the pinhole spacing of the printed circuit board on the electronic device side matches. Since the terminal insertion holes are provided at different intervals, the terminal insertion holes to be used can be selected depending on the pinhole intervals on the board. Moreover, even if the pin-shaped terminal is loosely fitted into the terminal insertion hole, the socket body contacts the printed circuit board and provides a buffering effect.
The stain pond is securely held by the annular tongue piece, and the battery can be effectively prevented from being pulled out from the socket recess even if subjected to vibration or impact. Moreover, it is possible to provide a battery socket that has a reliable battery holding function with an inexpensive structure without using elastic terminals, and can be easily incorporated into electronic equipment.
