  1. 透光性セラミックからなる発光管バルブΩ端部に金属キ
    ャップのスカート部を接着することによって気密に閉塞
    してなる放電灯において、前記金属キャップはスカート
    部を除いて肉厚を０．２５＋ｙ＋ｍ′　　〜１．ＯＲと
    し、かつ、スカート部の肉厚は他の部分の肉厚よりも薄
    肉に形成したことを特徴とする金属蒸気放電灯。
