Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure hearing of a sound added with an indirect sound component, by providing a diaphragm in addition to a speaker, connecting the diaphragm to a spring and obtaining a reverberation sound from the diaphragm when a sound is produced from a speaker of a headphone. CONSTITUTION:For a headphone, the 2nd diaphragm 4 is set beside a speaker unit 3 consisting of the 1st diaphragm 1 and a magnetic circuit 2. An end of an elastic matter, e.g., a spring 5 is connected to the diaphragm 4. In such a constitution of the headphone, the sound wave radiated from the unit 3 reaches directly the ears and at the same time vibrates the diaphragm 4. The vibrations of the diaphragm 4 repeat reflections many times via the spring 5 and are radiated again by the diaphragm in the form of a reverberation component.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Technical Field of the Invention J The present invention relates to headphones that add reverberant sound when listening to headphones and can provide reproduced sound with a rich sense of presence.

In conventional headphone listening, two-channel stereo signals are supplied directly to the ears without going through a space such as a listening room. However, when a stereo signal is reproduced using loudspeakers, spatial information from the listening room, etc., and distortion reverberation are added to the original signal and reach the ears. Normally, when producing record sources, etc., the reverberations of the playback room are taken into account when mixing. For this reason, conventional headphones only provide tasteless reproduced sound without reverberation components.

The present invention eliminates these drawbacks of conventional headphones. To provide headphones capable of listening to not only direct sound but also sound to which indirect sound components are added as in the case of reproduction through a speaker.

[Summary of the Invention] Summary 9 of the present invention is to install a diaphragm separate from a speaker in a closed space sound field reproduced by headphones, and connect the imaging plate with a spring so that sound is emitted from the speaker of the headphones. reverberation is obtained from a separate diaphragm connected to this spring.

According to such headphones, sound waves emitted from the speaker unit 3 constituted by the first diaphragm 1 and the magnetic circuit 2 reach the ear as direct sound, while causing the second diaphragm 4 to vibrate. The vibration of the second diaphragm 4 is reflected many times by the spring 5 and is radiated back to the diaphragm as a reverberation component.
