Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce curling and to improve the correctability of toner images by adding cationic synthestic resin emulsion internally and making paper. CONSTITUTION:The transparent paper which is produced by adding a cationic synthetic resin emulsion internally is used. The emulsion is of polymers of vinyl acetate, PVC, styrene, acrylate and butadiene or copolymers contg. these monomers as constituting units. The emulsion copolymerized with unsatd. acids or hydroxyl groups such as hydroxyethyl methacrylate in order to improve writing quality of water pens or the like may be used.

However, the above (1) is used in some low-speed and medium-speed electrostatic copying machines, and has some advantages such as high transparency and good correction ability of one toner with correction fluid. When this is used in a dry electrostatic copying machine, blisters are likely to occur in the heat fixing section, and tracing paper has very poor dimensional stability due to changes in moisture and curls a lot, so it can cause paper jams, especially in high-speed copying machines. The problem is that this phenomenon often occurs. Items listed in (2) above may cause shimmering during storage or due to the heat inside the electrostatic copying machine.
The drawback is that plasticizers and the like soften the toner and often cause blocking phenomena. Furthermore, although the paper in item (3) above has good paper running properties in an electrostatic copying machine,
It has the defect of not being highly transparent.

In addition, in general, transparent paper coated or impregnated with polymeric substances does not necessarily have good correction properties with correction fluid, and requires surface equipment for processing such as coating or impregnating. The disadvantage is that it is complex to manufacture and relatively expensive.

In fact, in order to produce the transparent paper of the present invention, one or more of the above (a), (b), and (c) are added to the cationic synthetic resin emulsion or filtrate in the lupus slurry, The paper can be run on a paper machine, and the transparency can be further improved by running it on a super calender after papermaking. Furthermore, cationic melamine formaldehyde resin or polyamide may be used together with the cationic synthetic resin emulsion or in the fixing roller of an electrostatic copying machine.
