Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は噴射インキによる見出し文字又は記号の装着方
嫉に関する。
図面の第１図に示すように、辞書等の書籍においては、
従来から、その見たい部分？すぐに見られるように、そ
の小口部分（１）Ｋ見出し文字（２）ヲ持っているもの
があった。これは、例えば、オフセント印刷により行な
われているが、小口部分は曲面であることが多（、その
上梁が（不安定であるため、圧力を要する印、刷ではき
れいで正確な文字を描くことが難しかった。
本発明はこのような事情に鑑みて、無加圧で見出し文字
を装着することを可能としたもので、具体的には、辞書
等の書籍の小口部分に、インキ・ジェット方法によりド
ツト文字又は記号を設けることを特徴とする噴射インキ
による見出し文字又は記号の装着方法である。
インキ・ジェット方法は、印刷インキの微細な液滴なノ
ズルから噴出し、様々な方法でインキの飛散方向をコン
トロールして、所定の位置に付着させるものである。こ
の方法によれば、書籍の小口部分に印刷版その他のもの
が接触しないで印刷できるので、曲□面でかつ柔かく、
不安定な小口部分にもきれいで正確な文字を描くことが
でき、しかもドツト文字であるために余分なインキが流
れず、にじむことがない。
本発明に係る文字又は記号は、例えば英和辞典であれば
「Ａ、ＢＳ、ＣＪ等であり、百科辞典であれば「ア、イ
、つ」等である。また、その他、記号、であっても良い
。得られた書籍の外観は、第１図に示すものと同様であ
る。
本発明は以上のように、小口部分にきれ（・で正確な文
字を描くことができ、不良品の生じることがない。また
、製本工程の途中又はその後にインキ・ジェット印刷機
を設けることにより、製本と同時に印刷することができ
る。
