    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 用紙と送りローラとの摩擦力により紙送りを行うように
    構成されたプリンタにおいて、反射光により用紙を検出
    するように構成された光学的検出機構を送りローラと対
    向する位置に設け、光学的検出機構の出力信号に基づい
    て紙送り動作を制御することを特徴とするプリンタ。
