Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease a shear in printing at a two-way printing time of a graphic printer, by a method wherein a print solenoid driving signal is transmitted to a print solenoid in delay by a desired delay time than a timing signal. CONSTITUTION:If it is verified that a print solenoid control P2 is brought to a more rightward printing condition than a printing directing detection P6, a print solenoid driving pulse PS1 is applied to a print solenoid P1 at a rise time of a timing signal TS. If it is verified that the print solenoid control P2 is brought to a leftward printing condition, a timer P4 actuates in response to a timing signal TS by a delay time DR previously set by a dip switch P5 and corresponding to a parameter, and after the delay time DR has elapsed, a driving signal PS2 is applied to a print solenoid.

Bidirectional printing has the advantage of faster printing speed than unidirectional printing. However, in conventional graphic printers capable of bidirectional printing, as shown in FIG. 2, right direction printing RDI and left direction printing? ,,In D1,
Print deviation DF occurs.

The causes of this increase in printing deviation include mechanical backlash and electrical banklash. On the other hand, the reason for reducing this printing deviation t is the current application time ([61Et
In the case of a printer in which there is a delay from the time of printing to the time of impact), the effect of increasing the printing ri due to mechanical bank lash and electrical bank lash is greater than the movement of reducing the printing deviation tube due to the running wL time.

As is clear from FIG. 2, the left side printing QK impacts the paper at a too early timing. Below, a method for correcting this timing will be explained with reference to FIGS. 1, 4, and 5wJK.

When the print position maid control P2 recognizes that the print direction is in the right direction printing state from the print direction detection P6, the tying signal TI! On the other hand, when it is confirmed that the print solenoid control P2 is in the left direction printing state, in response to the timing signal 78,
The timer P4 operates for the delay time DR in accordance with the parameters given in advance by the dip switch P5, and only the drive pulse P82 is applied to the print solenoid during the delay time DR. Due to the delay time DR, the printing deviation of pudding)ljiiJ becomes smaller. Also,
Since a DIP switch is used as a parameter to determine the delay time, appropriate parameters can be set for each individual pudding.
