In the printing device, the ink ribbon 1 is lifted by the fold line of the paper 2, and the next line is printed in this lifted state, resulting in omitted or missing characters. It has been found that such lifting of the ink ribbon 1 occurs more frequently as the paper 1 becomes thicker and as there are multiple line breaks such as page breaks and line feeds. In addition,
Reference numeral 5 denotes a sprocket that feeds the paper 2 by engaging with feed holes provided along both side edges of the paper 2.

The feed speed is lowered to prevent the ink ribbon from being lifted. The present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3 showing embodiments.

It has a function of generating a paper feed end pulse signal FEED RESET when it generates a SET and receives a predetermined number of pulse signals LINE PULSE, which are generated every time a new line is added. It also has a function of generating CHI and CHI2, which are format control information from the format control tape or format control buffer, and indicate the first line and bottom line of each page of the paper 2, respectively. When the motor control unit 7 receives the level signal FEED of the paper feed execution command and rotates the paper feed motor 8 by one line, a line feed pulse signal LINE is sent to the paper feed control unit 6.
It has the function of generating one RULSE. The print control unit 9 generates a level signal that delays the start of printing.
When receiving PRINT DELAY, it has a function to wait without starting printing during that time. pulse signal

Since they are set and reset by CHI,
While the line from the bottom edge of the paper 2 to the first line of the next page passes through the print position, its first output end becomes a logical value 1. The flip-flop 13 is set by the trigger input of the one shot 14 which provides an intermittent time for each line, and is reset by the next pulse signal FEED SET, so it remembers that there is a case where a line feed is required with one intermittent line. The one shot 14 is triggered by the output of the AND gate 17, and acts via the AND gate 16 to wait for the next line feed for a certain period of time. One shot 15 is triggered by the output of AND gate 18 and outputs level signal PRINT.
DELAY is sent to the print control unit 9 to delay the start of the next print for a certain period of time. AND gate 17 is a pulse signal LINE PULSE and switches 19, 20, 21
When a match is found, the one shot 14 is triggered and the flip-flop 13 is set. Flip-flop 1 remembers that AND gate 18 is a case where intermittent single line breaks are required.
3 and the pulse signal FEED RESET, one shot 15 is triggered, and a level signal PRINT DELAY is generated. That is, when performing intermittent one-line feeds, the start of printing is delayed for a predetermined period of time after the end of paper feeding.

This shows a case where 7 line feeds are executed by repeating intermittent 1 line feeds. In addition, the changeover switch 19 is a flip-flop 1.
It is assumed that the manual switch 20 and the paper thickness detection switch 21 are both open.
