Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the danger of flowing of high voltage current between electrodes and to improve dust precipitation efficiency in the stage of removing the dust, etc. in liquid with dust precipitating bodies between the electrode plates applied with high voltage by setting the associated constitution of the dust precipitating bodies and the electrode plates into specific states. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of purifying the liquid 2 to be purified in a tank 1 by passing the same through the dust collecting bodies 9 in a metallic purifying tank 3, the bodies 9 consisting of porous or fibrous insulators are interposed between high voltage electrode plates 7 and earth side electrode plates 8 to charge the fine dusts in the liquid electrostatically and to absorb the same on the plates 6, 8 or to capture the same with the bodies 9, thereby removing the dusts. In this case, the bodies 21 are constituted of sloped surfaces 22 so that the inflow side of liquid does not contact with the plates 6 or the plates 8. Sloped surfaces 23 are constituted on the opposite side on the outflow side so as to contact with the plates 6 or 8. The conduction of electricity and evolution of heat by an increase in the conductivity of the dust precipitating bodies owing to conductors such as water drops in the liquid are prevented and the capturing efficiency of the dust by the bodies 21 is improved.

In the above configuration, two liquids containing dust are sent from the tank 1 to the hose 16, are sent to the supply pipe 4, enter the septic tank 3 through the hole 5, settle in the coarse dust i1 storage chamber 14, and become fine dust. The liquid containing λ passes between the dust collecting plates 9 and rises. During this time,
Due to the electric field formed inside the septic tank 3, the 1/7 sap contained in the liquid is charged and attracted to the electrode plate 6.8 or the septic tank 3, where it is collected by a dust collector 9. The liquid from which dust has been removed returns to the tank 1 from the discharge pipe 11 through the hose 15.

FIG. 3 is a side sectional view of one electrode pair, and the dust collector 9 is inserted uniformly between the electrode plates 6 and 8 from the inflow side to the outflow side, so that the liquid to be purified moves in the direction of the arrow. It is configured.

In this conventional configuration, insoluble liquids such as water droplets in oil are also collected on the electrode plate 6.8 or the dust collector 9 and condense, and these liquids accumulate below the dust collector 9 one after another. However, if a conductive state is formed between the electrode plates 6 and 8 due to moisture,
The voltage between the electrode plates 6 and 8 decreases, almost no electric field is formed, and the liquid purification effect disappears. Also, high voltage current will flow, which will generate a lot of heat, creating a dangerous situation.
