Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operational efficiency of cutting by providing each of two back-to-back slant heads composing a head with a headstock individually capable of sliding axially and determining its position and further providing on the top of the head, two tool rests which can independently slide and determine their positions in the cutting direction. CONSTITUTION:Slant heads 1a, 1b are combined back-to-back with each other so as to make tool rests 9a, 9b cut in the top of the head along its slant. Accordingly, the captioned machine has excellent approachability to a workpiece and not only is easy to maintain but also very efficient in discharging chips. Further, since the headstocks 4a, 4b are movable to a head edge 1, detachment of the workpiece may be easily performed and machining efficiency may be improved.

には同じスラントベッド上に並べて配置されているか或
いは水平に並べられた2主軸に内傾斜に刃物台を配置し
て中央を切屑溜りとしたものが知られている。 しかし
ながらこのような形態の主軸並びにサドルの配置では切
屑処理並びに操作性に難点があり未だ練られた機械とい
えない現状にある。

込方向に独立して摺動位置決めできる2個の刃物台を設
けたことを特徴とするものである。

に形成せられ脚3上に固定されている。 そしてそれぞ
れのスラントベッド1a、1b上には全く同じ部品が配
設されるので前側部品にa1後側部品にbを付して区別
し前側についてのみ説明する。 4aはチャック6aを
先端に取付けた主軸5aを回転可能に軸承した主軸台で
スラントベッド1aの案内面2aに摺動可能な載置台7
aに載置固定されており、図示しないモータから図示し
ない送りねじによって駆動せられ、公知のNC装置によ
って主軸方向のZ軸方向に独立に位置決めがされる。 
8はベッド1の頂上1cに固定した山形の案内台でスラ
ントベッドia、ibに平行な斜面を有しスラントベッ
ド1a側の斜面には主軸5aのチャック6aに把持され
た工作物への切込方向のX軸方向案内面8aが設けられ
ている。 又スラントベッド1b側の斜面にも同じ案内
面が設けられている。 9aはタレット10a  を割
り出し回転可能に軸承した刃物台で図示しないモータに
より図示しない送りねじによって工作物に対する切込送
りが与えられNC装置によって独立に位置決め制御され
る。

由であり空時間を減少させ加工能率が向上させ得る。
