Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

(1) In a synthetic resin compact container in which a lid is connected to the container by a hinge so that it can be opened and closed, a recess is formed in the peripheral edge of either the container or the lid, and one end is vertically oriented. An actuating member formed as an extending free end and having a first projecting piece extending toward the free end at the other end substantially opposite to the free end is pivoted into the recess approximately midway between the two ends. When the lid is in the closed position, the first protrusion of the actuating piece engages with a second protruding piece of either the lid or the container, which is formed with a GF shadow, and the actuating piece is in the closed position. When the free end is close to the other peripheral edge and the free end is pressed inward, the free end moves inward using the pivot of the actuating piece as a fulcrum, thereby connecting the container and the lid. A compact container characterized in that the container acts to separate the first protruding piece and the second protruding piece, thereby releasing the engagement between the first protruding piece and the second protruding piece and opening the lid body.
