Appropriate splines 22, 23 are provided on the inner circumferential surface 7C and outer circumferential surface 7d of the cylindrical portion 7a so as to have pressure receiving surfaces 44, 45 on both sides in the axial direction, and at least one side thereof is a helical spline having an appropriate twist angle. The formed piston 7 is interposed between a camshaft 1 for driving a fuel injection pump and a cylindrical input shaft 5 disposed coaxially with the camshaft 1, and the spline 22 of the piston 7 is .23 formed on the camshaft 1 side and an appropriate spline 20 and the input shaft 5.
While simultaneously engaging with appropriate splines 21 formed on the sides, the governor weight 13 is tilted in response to changes in engine speed and is biased by the spring force of the governor spring 14. Both pressure receiving surfaces 44, 45 of the piston 7 are controlled by a servo valve 8 having a spool 10 that can be moved forward and backward in the axial direction as appropriate.
