Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten time required for changing and to secure safety, by attaching a work supporting stand of an idle station to a bolster or a die to be changed. CONSTITUTION:After completion of all press working of a work 2 being carried, bolsters 7, 8 in a transfer press 1 are driven by a driving cylinder 25 and turn the work supporting stand 15 of idle stations 4a, 4b, 4c to make it parallel to the sides of bolsters 7, 8 and take out to opposite side of bolsters 11, 12 which are standing by. Bolsters 11, 12 are put in the transfer press 1 and the work supporting stand 15 is turned by driving of the driving cylinder 25 to enable to hold the idle work. Since a work supporting stand suitable for the shape of work which is to be carried next can be prepared beforehand at the ouyside of the transfer press, change of work supporting stand can be performed simultaneously with change of dies, and thus time required for changing can be shortened.
