Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembling of an iron core in block style and to contrive the reduction of the number of assembly processes by a method wherein a wound core and strip laminated iron cores are used and the reduction of the loss of the material for a shell-type transformer is contrived. CONSTITUTION:A wound core 1 is composed by winding an electromagnetic steel plate having fixed thickness and cut to required width L in a square shape with a slitter by the required number of turns. Auxiliary iron cores 2, 3 consisting of strip laminated iron cores are composed by laminating the iron cores in a strip shape. In this case, a closed circuit is composed by facing the width L5 of the wound iron core 1 to the width L6 of the auxiliary iron cores 2, 3.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an improvement of an external iron type transformer, and the present invention aims to reduce material loss by using a wound core and a strip-shaped laminated core, and to reduce assembly man-hours by making it easier to block the core in an assembly method. The purpose of this invention is to reduce the amount of iron and to simplify the joining of the wound core and the laminated core.

Generally, in the case of external iron type transformers, EI combination laminated cores are popular, and these are made by stacking materials alternately in a staggered manner to make the core to a predetermined thickness.
It is normal to butt them together to form a Japanese character shape. These methods have the drawback that although the core itself can be obtained mechanically by punching, the stacking must be done manually, making assembly extremely time-consuming. Furthermore, since it was done manually, gaps between EIs were likely to occur, causing rumbling noise and an increase in leakage flux.

On the other hand, recently, two rolled iron cores! A so-called ON type transformer is available, which uses a single auxiliary core of the type EI, but although it can eliminate the drawbacks of the EI type transformer, it is difficult to connect the auxiliary core and the two wound cores with a clamp. It has to be fixed, and it has the disadvantage that gaps similar to the EI type occur due to variations in the strength of the clamping tool. Furthermore, two wound cores are required, and the cost of the wound core is higher than that of a general punched core, making it impossible to avoid an increase in manufacturing costs.

The present invention provides an external iron type transformer that solves these conventional problems.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the illustrated embodiments.
Figure 11 shows a perspective view of the core combination of the present invention. (1) is a wound core, which is constructed by cutting an electromagnetic steel plate having a certain thickness into the required length using a slitter, and winding the required number of times into a rectangular shape. (2) and (3) are auxiliary cores made of rectangular laminated cores, which are constructed by punching rectangular cores and laminating them in an appropriate manner.
