Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to make an underground room small and consequently reduce the expense of civil engineering works by a method wherein a suction and discharge device is provided in the midway of the oil return pipe of a rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:The lubricating oil supplied to machines 3 flows by its own weight from the oil exhaust port of each machine 3 into the oil return pipe 4. A forced oil pumping-back device 5 sucks the lubricating oil 6 in the return pipe 4 in itself and sends through a piping 7 back to a tank 2. In such a manner as mentioned above, because of the suction force of the forced oil pumping-back device 5, no or slight gradient of the oil return pipe 4 is enough for the flow of the lubricating oil 6, resulting in necessitating no deeper underground room. Furthermore, because only the forced oil pumping-back device 5 is installed in the underground room 1, a very small space is enough for the underground room 1.

より潤滑油6を吸込み地上を経て機械3の歯車、軸受等
に供給している。供給された潤滑油4は機械3のケーシ
ング底部の排油穴がら返油管4に自重により流れる。強
III返油装置5(具体的には例えばスクリューポンプ
)は返油管4内の潤滑油6を吸込み配管7を通してタッ
ク2に戻す。このようにすれば強制返油装置5の吸込み
力により、返油管4の勾配は零か又は返油管4内にゴミ
が留らないようにする程度の勾配を設ければ良いので、
地下室1は深くならない。そして、地下室1に設置する
のは強制返油装置5のみであり、非常に小さい地下室で
充分である。依って、従来(第1図)のように深く、大
きい地下室は不要となる。強制返油装置5は潤滑油6の
みを吸込むのではなく、空気も吸込む必要がある。すな
わち、機械3への潤滑油6の供給量より強制返油装置5
の容量を犬きぐするためと、機械3のケー/ング底部の
潤滑油6を完全に吸込むため、空気のみを吸込む時があ
る。そのため、タンク2と強制返油装置5間の落差を利
用して配管8と開閉弁9を通して強制返油装置5の軸受
部に潤滑油6を給油し軸受部の焼付きなどを防止する。

Therefore, using the head difference between the tank 2 and the forced oil return device 5, lubricating oil 6 is supplied to the bearing portion of the forced oil return device 5 through the piping 8 and the on-off valve 9 to prevent seizure of the bearing portion.
