Abstract

PURPOSE:To elevate the moisture content rate of a particle board to that of the air-dry moisture content by absorbing the wet air having a moisture content higher than that of the particle board forcible into the board by a suction apparatus that is abutted on the surface or the end grain of the particle board. CONSTITUTION:The particle board 1 is conveyed by a roller conveyor 2 into a chamber 3 where the humidity is controlled to a higher level. A flexible door 4 provided at the entrance of the chamber 3 can be pushed up by the forward end of the particle board 1 when the particle board 1 is conveyed. When the particle board 1 is stopped on the suction apparatus 6, the suction apparatus 6 is actuated so that the air having a high humidity is passed through the particle board 1 and therefore the moisture content in the particle board 1 is elevated. In this case, if the suction is made from only one surface, the moisture contents of the top surface and the backsurface will differ from each other, which will result in warping, and therefore it is preferable that the suction should be made from both surfaces simultaneously.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Particle board has a moisture content of 5 to 9% at the time of manufacture, which is generally lower than the air-dried moisture content, so it has the disadvantage that it will warp if shipped as is. Therefore, the O that is adjusted to have an air-dry moisture content at the factory before being shipped is
It may seem strange, but even if you simply press the particle board and leave it for a while, the moisture content will not reach the air-dry level, so it was necessary to insert crosspieces between the particles and press the board. However, even with this method, it takes 1 to 5 days depending on the moisture content, size, temperature, etc. of the particle board.

This invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks, and has the following features: 1.- A suction device is brought into contact with the surface or end of the particle board, and the temperature is forcibly adjusted to a temperature higher than the water content of the particle board by this suction device. The present invention relates to a method for adjusting the moisture content of particle board, which is characterized by sucking air into the particle board.

この発明を図面によって詳述する。This invention will be explained in detail with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 is a sectional view of the apparatus used to carry out the invention, in which a particle board 1 is conveyed on a roll conveyor 2 and enters a chamber 5 which is controlled at a high temperature. Reference numeral 4 denotes an aTt door provided at the entrance/exit of the chamber 5, and when the particle board 1 is conveyed, it hits the tip and is pushed inward.

5 is a temperature and humidity controller. 6 is a suction device, and when the particle board 1 is conveyed and stops on the suction device 6, the suction device 6 is activated and high temperature air is sucked into the particle board 1.
It passes through the particle board and increases the moisture content of the particle board. Note that if suction is applied from one side, the moisture content will be different between the front and back sides, which may cause warping, so in that case, it is preferable to turn the particle board over and suction from the opposite side as well.

FIG. 2 is a sectional view of another device having the same function as the device shown in FIG. 1, in which a plurality of particle boards 1 are stacked.
It is transported on the roll conveyor 2, and its end is brought into contact with the suction device 6. Thereafter, the highly humid air in the chamber 6 is sucked by the suction device 6 to increase the moisture content of the particle board 1. 7 indicates a door.

FIG. 6 is also a cross-sectional view of another device that has the same function as the device shown in FIG. Vhle facing chamber 6 filled with heated air. The other edges and surfaces of the particle board 1 are shielded with a shielding material 8 such as an iron plate 1 plywood 9 and a synthetic resin sheet.

Note that a suction device and a high temperature chamber may be brought into contact with the front and back surfaces of the particle board 1, respectively. Furthermore, without creating a special high-humidity chamber, water may be sprinkled on the surface of the particle board and forcibly sucked from the back surface.

Since this invention is configured as described above, it has the effect of allowing uK high humidity air to pass through the particle board reliably and quickly increasing the moisture content of the particle board to the air-dry moisture content. be. Therefore, there is no need for the products to be piled up in the factory for several days as in the past, which eliminates the need for storage space and improves the product turnover rate.
