Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve productivity and the quality of die cast products by using a movable die for the product forming part of die casting dies, and sliding the members for the gate and runners of the dies in specific directions cooperatively with the opening and closing of the dies. CONSTITUTION:After setting is completed by inserting a core 6 to be die cast into a movable die 13, dies 13, 22 are clamped. Molten metal is charged through a charging port 7, and is charged through a gate plate 18 by a plunger 8 into the dies 13, 22, whereby a product 5 is cast. After the casting, the dies are opened and the die 13 is retreated in a direction A. In this time, the plate 18 is guided by an angular pin 19 and is moved in a direction B, by which the product 5 and the plate 18 are shorn and separated. A solenoid valve 16 is operated to act pressurized fluid from a pressure source 17, thereby moving a piston rod 14 forward. The rod 14 passes through the inside of a mandrel 21 and removes the gate and runners stuck on the plate 18 by ejecting the same with a ejecter 15.
