Claims

A compressor body driven by an electric motor is housed in a housing, and the compressor body has a cylinder block having a cylinder chamber and a piston rotationally driven within the cylinder chamber, and an end face of the cylinder chamber supports a crankshaft. In a rotary compressor closed by an upper bearing and a lower bearing, a cooling hole is provided that runs vertically through the upper bearing, the cylinder, and the lower bearing, and the cooling hole is attached to the outside of the housing and one end passes through the housing and opens into the discharge gas chamber. A rotary compressor comprising a heat exchanger whose other end extends through the housing and opens into the cooling hole.
