Conventionally, earth retention in soft and flooded ground has been carried out using the steel sheet pile construction method, but if the steel sheet piles cannot be driven due to underground objects and discontinuous parts of the steel sheet piles occur, earth retention at the discontinuous parts can be carried out. The construction is based on the steel pile horizontal sheet pile construction method, which uses wooden planks as the horizontal sheet piles.

However, when implementing the steel pile horizontal pile construction method on soft ground, it is not possible to prevent water leakage and soil outflow from the gaps between wooden horizontal piles, steel piles, and wooden horizontal piles. In order to stabilize the ground and stop water, various auxiliary methods such as chemical injection methods have been used.

In order to solve these problems, the present invention is a steel plate for earth retaining that is used in a construction method (see Japanese Patent Application No. 130289/1989) in which a steel plate is press-fitted using a hydraulic jack before excavation to form earth retaining. Its features include a U-shaped retaining part at the bottom of the steel plate, and uneven parts on both left and right ends for applying a water sealing agent, which improves water sealing between the steel plates or between the steel sheet piles and the steel plates. It is something that

Unlike conventional wooden horizontal sheet piles, this upper sound board is made of steel, which allows it to be press-fitted sequentially from directly below the buried pipe using hydraulic jacks, etc., and is commonly used as earth retaining at discontinuous locations of steel sheet piles. This eliminates the need for the complicated manual insertion of horizontal sheet piles into steel piles, as is the case with the steel pile horizontal sheet pile construction method that involves ground improvement, and the retaining wall can be formed in advance before excavation.

A water stop agent such as a swelling water stop agent that swells when it comes in contact with water (for example, Pile Lock) is applied to the uneven parts on both the left and right ends of the steel plate 1, and the parts are press-fitted so that they fit into the grooves of the guide piles 6. This ensures that the steel plate 1 and the guide pile 6 have watertight properties.

In addition, the upper part of each steel plate fits into a retaining part provided at the lower part of the upper steel plate, and a sealing material is bonded to the entire length of the lower end surface of the steel plate, so the water-tightness between each steel plate is good.

As explained above, in this invention, the horizontal sheet piles are made of steel, which allows them to be press-fitted into the ground using hydraulic jacks, etc., and the complicated insertion of horizontal sheet piles by making a large groove into an excavated groove in the conventional steel pile horizontal sheet pile construction method is possible. No work is required, earth retaining walls can be built safely in advance before excavation, and since it has a water-stopping function, this invention can be used for earth retaining at discontinuous locations of steel sheet piles, which is currently increasing in number. , its economic effects are extremely large.
