Abstract

PURPOSE:To transfer letters and pictures from a print, by a method wherein a transferring material comprising a transparent film coated with a transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing liquid plasticizer is affixed over an ink layer of the print, and then stripped off from said ink layer. CONSTITUTION:A transferring material is obtained by coating one side of a transparent plastic film with a transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprising a compound of 100pts.wt. adhesive (e.g., acryl adhesive) and 50-300pts.wt. liquid plasticizer (e.g., fluid paraffin) and having a bonding strength of 30-4,000g/25mm. for bakelite. Then said transferring material is affixed over an ink layer of a print through the composition layer of said transferring material. When said affixed material is stripped off, the surface of said ink layer is transferred to said composition layer, whereby a few sheets of transfer copy can be easily obtained without giving any damage to the surface of the print.

The composition includes an acrylic adhesive consisting of acrylic esters and a monomer having a polar group that can be copolymerized with the ester, an adhesive mainly composed of polyvinyl ether, and a polyisoprene rubber. Liquid paraffin, dioctyl phthalate, prohyalene gellicol, olive oil, etc. can be used for transparent sticky substances such as sticky substances, such as sticky substances mainly composed of sterine-isoprene (or butadiene)-styrene block copolymer! Examples include those containing IIJ11. The blending amount of the molar agent is preferably in the range of 50 to 300 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the main material of the adhesive. If outside this range,
This is undesirable because it may destroy the surface of the printed matter or leave adhesive residue on the printed matter.

The composition may contain a tackifying resin, a filler, a dye, etc. as needed, but the adhesive strength of the composition to a Bakelite plate is 30 to 400V! It is necessary that the voltage is adjusted to 5mK.

If the adhesive strength is less than 309,725, articles etc. cannot be copied reliably, and if it is more than 4009/25, the surface of the printed matter will be destroyed, which is undesirable. (Conditions: 20° C. x 65% R, H, tensile speed: 300 wrmin).
