Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a paint compsn. which has excellent weather resistance and rust-inhibiting properties and in which leafing properties of aluminum pigment is improved, by incorporating scaly mica in an leafing eluminum pigment- contg. exposy resin. CONSTITUTION:Scaly mica is blended with a leafing aluminum pigment-contg. epoxy resin paint. A bisphenol F type epoxy resin is particularly suitable as the epoxy resin, since its viscosity is low, the amount of the solvent in the paint can be reduced, the resin makes it possible to produce a paint having a high nonvolatile content, a thick-wall coating can be conducted, and further leafing properties of aluminum pigment can be improved.
