Abstract

PURPOSE:To distinguish visually a desired character string easily with its font, by changing the font to display characters in accordance with attributes of characters to be printed. CONSTITUTION:An attribute discriminating part CHA discriminates a font to be selected on a basis of an attribute part CRA of a character receiving register CR by the command of a character analyzing part and opens a longitudinal gate of a font storage means MEM. A character taking-out part CHS of a retrieving part CHC openes a lateral gate corresponding to given characters. Character stuffing part CHE stuffs characters into designated positions of an output buffer BUF in order on a basis of the command of the attribute discriminating part CHA. When characters in the character receiving register CR are all stuffed into the output buffer BUF, the attribute discriminating part CHA rturns the end signal to the character analyzing part. By repeating this operation, the character analyzing part instructs a printing-out part to print out contents of the output buffer.

In the print editing method that edits the character code in the print buffer to print on a printing device that can print characters of different fonts, the attribute discrimination part of each character and the code of the different font for each character are registered and nine codes are used. A storage means and a code search section are provided,
The discrimination unit determines the attribute of each character to be printed, and according to this attribute, the search unit extracts the character code to be printed from the code storage means, and sequentially stores the character code in the output buffer. By embedding it, I was able to achieve the above purpose.

以下この発明を図によプ詳しく説明する。This invention will be explained in detail below with reference to the drawings.

The character receiving register CR is sent from a character analysis section of a translator (not shown). The character string CRMVi is a group of characters to be printed, and the character part CRA is the character string length of the character string CRM, and the embedding position shows the 9 fonts.

It has the embedding position in the output buffer, etc. Further, in the code storage means MEM, characters having the same font are arranged vertically for each character. According to the command from the character analysis section, the attribute discrimination section CHA is set to 2.
The attribute field CRA in the character receiving register CR) determines the font to be selected and opens the vertical gate in the 9-character font storage means MEM. On the other hand, the character extraction unit CH8 in the search unit CHC is the character string CRMt in the character receiving register CR-attribute determination unit C.

Embed in order. When all the characters in the character receiving register CR are embedded in the output buffer BUF, the character determining unit CHA returns an end signal to the character analyzing unit. When the output buffer 7 BUF is embedded with one page worth of data from the above practice K, the 1-character analysis section instructs the printing output section (not shown) to print out the output buffer 7. .
