There is a point. In order to solve this problem, there is a method for forming a foamed resin molded product in which foamable resin particles are wrapped in a thermoplastic resin film or sheet having a low softening temperature (Japanese Patent Publication No. 56-36051). However, although the surface of the foamed resin molded product produced by this method is quite smooth due to the film or sheet, the edges of the foamed resin molded product and the edges of the film or sheet are smooth. Part of the foamed resin protruding from the film or sheet appears, resulting in a disadvantage that the appearance of the end face of the molded product is particularly poor.

The object of the present invention is to provide a method for molding a molded article that can obtain a foamed resin molded article whose surface is covered with cloth. Therefore, the foamed resin molded product obtained by this molding method has a good appearance because its surface, that is, the entire curved surface is covered with the fabric, and the surface is kept smooth and in shape by the fabric. effective. Furthermore, products made using this molding method are made of foamed resin on the inside, but have a fabric layer on the surface, so they are resistant to impact, and even if the foamed resin is damaged, the outer fabric layer will protect the product from impact. This provides effects such as preventing the collapsed foamed resin body from collapsing.

This bag 2 is then filled with a certain amount of thermoplastic foam particles 3. Next, the bag 2 filled with the thermoplastic foam particles 3 is heated and pressed using a mold (not shown) to obtain a molded article 1 having a shape corresponding to the mold. The surface of the thus obtained molded product is covered with a bag 2', and the thermoplastic foam particles filled in the bag 2 are softened and foamed to become the core material of the molded product 1, and the bag 2' is covered with the thermoplastic foam particles. Because it is glued and fixed as one piece,
A foamable resin molded article whose surface is covered with a fabric layer is obtained.

。For the bag 2, fabrics such as woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, and non-woven fabrics made of synthetic fibers or natural fibers can be used, but it is generally preferable to use fabrics that are comfortable to the touch. Depending on the situation, the fabric may be dyed with an appropriate pattern or pattern. Further, as the thermoplastic foam particles, polyethylene resin particles, polystyrene-maleic anhydride copolymer resin particles, etc. can be used.

である。As described above, the present invention provides a foam molding method in which thermoplastic resin foam particles 3 are heated and pressurized to fuse the particles to produce a molded article. According to the present invention, the method for molding a molded product is characterized in that the molded product is sealed in a bag 2 that has been previously formed into the shape of a molded product, and the sealed bag is supplied to a molding machine for foam molding. A foamed resin molded product whose entire surface is covered with a fabric, that is, a foamed resin molded product whose surface is covered with a cloth layer, can be molded into a predetermined shape by heating and pressing means in one step.

ある。Therefore, according to the present invention, molded products such as sun visors and headrests used in automobiles, which are used with the front and back surfaces exposed, can be manufactured very easily. Furthermore, according to the present invention, since the peripheral surface of the foamed resin molded article is covered with a fabric layer, the end surface of the product, unlike conventional products,
There are effects such as being able to solve the problem that the overlapping state of the resin molded body and the fabric layer is exposed and the aesthetic appearance is impaired.
